CCMC Preview Week Day 2!

Hello everyone! It's week 2 of spring break for us. Time is going by way too fast! I just got back from my friend's house yesterday. Boy did we have a great time! Thank you, Sherry! Now I am making last minute preparations for my parents' arrival this afternoon! Busy, busy, busy!

This week is Preview Week at Create with Connie and Mary! Yesterday I announced that I am a designer for the upcoming Cards "Create"tions Celebrations edition. Today Mary has a super fun set of cards to show and is offering blog candy! So be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary site to see how to enter into her drawing! Don't forget to download her free tutorial, too!

For my card today I thought I would show some of the Sale-a-bration product. Tomorrow is the last day to order anything SAB! Don't miss out! I will be sad to see them go!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Cut a piece of Sheer Perfection Vellum at 5 1/4" x 4"
  • On the back side of the vellum, color the leaves using Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow markers
  • Run a strip of adhesive down the middle of the vellum (where the strip will cover it) and adhere to card base
  • Cut a strip of Mossy Meadow at 1" x 5 1/4" and adhere to card
  • Use the Squares framelits to cut the frame: take the second and third squares (from the smallest) and nest them together on the magnetic platform on top of Basic Black card stock and run them through the Big Shot to cut the frame
  • Adhere the frame to the card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the sentiment from Simply Wonderful using Tuxedo Black Momento ink onto a strip of Whisper White card stock cut at 1/4" x 3 1/2" and adhere to the frame
  • Stamp the butterfly from the Nature's Perfection stamp set onto Whisper White using Tuxedo Black Momento ink and color it using So Saffron and Crushed Curry markers then cut out and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Add rhinestones to butterfly body
Don't forget to check out Mary's awesome project at the Create with Connie and Mary site! And while you're there, sign up for the upcoming Cards "Create"tions Celebrations edition! You will love it!! I do hope to see you there! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Nature's Perfection

Hello everyone! I am SO ready for spring break! Wow! The weather is just fantastic and the kiddos are getting really restless (me, too - lol)! Only three more days! I can do this! Today is a short day so I hope to get some stamping done so that it isn't such a long time between posts. We will see...

Today's card was one I did with my shoebox gals last week. I used an old sketch from Freshly Made to help with the layout.
  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Cut a strip of the Sheer Perfection designer vellum (butterflies design) and color the butterflies on the back side using Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Calypso Coral markers
  • The vellum is adhered to a piece of Whisper White by folding over the top and bottom and adhering it to the back so that the adhesive doesn't show
  • Adhere the panel to a piece of Basic Grey then adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Punch a circle from Crisp Cantaloupe using the 2" circle punch and adhere to card
  • Stamp the butterfly from the Nature's Perfection stamp set onto Whisper White using Basic Grey ink and color with Coastal Cabana marker then cut out and adhere to circle with dimensionals
  • Stamp the sentiment from Simply Wonderful onto a strip of Whisper White using Basic Grey ink and flag the end then adhere to card
  • Add a strip of rhinestones to the butterfly's body
Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 343

Good morning everyone! It's time for another great challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we have a fun sketch to work with! Take a look!

I wanted to do something a little different so here is what I came up with!

I used the Best Day Ever and Simply wonderful SAB sets and I like how it came out!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Cut another piece of Whisper White at an angle
  • Stamp the stem image from the Best Day Ever stamp set onto the panel using Mossy Meadow ink three times
  • Stamp the heart image (as leaves) onto the stems using Mossy Meadow ink
  • Stamp the flower image onto a piece of Whisper White three times using Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight and Blushing Bride inks and cut each out then adhere to the stems
  • Add rhinestones to flower centers
  • Tie a piece of Mossy Meadow stitched satin ribbon around the panel
  • Cut a strip of Pistachio Pudding card stock and use the fringe scissors to create the fringe and adhere to the back of the angled panel then adhere panel to card base with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from Simply Wonderful onto the card base at an angle using Mossy Meadow ink
I hope you enjoyed my card and are inspired to play along! For more fabulous inspiration, be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary site! I look forward to seeing your awesome creations! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Medallion Bloom

Good morning, Friends! Very nice to have a shorter week this week! One day back and I am already tired - lol! I get my hair cut but then I can come home and relax a bit. Thankfully it will be a fairly quiet week!

Today's card was the last one we did at my stamp club this month. Super quick and easy!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Adhere a strip of Birthday Bash designer paper to last side of the card
  • Stamp the greeting from the Simply Wonderful stamp set onto a piece of Bermuda Bay using Bermuda Bay ink then adhere to the card using dimensionals
  • Stamp the flower from Petal Potpourri onto a piece of Whisper White using Calypso Coral ink and punch out using the Flower Medallion punch
  • Punch another flower from Mossy Meadow card stock using the Flower Medallion punch and cut two petals from it to use as leaves
  • Adhere the leaves to the back of the flower and then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Thread a piece of Whisper White Painted Blooms cotton twine through a Crushed Curry button (from the Best Year Ever accessory pack) and tie a bow then adhere to the flower center

  • Thread a piece of linen thread through a Coastal Cabana button from the Best Year Ever accessory pack and tie a bow then adhere to flower center
