Blended Vases and CCMC Blog Candy

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a fabulous start! We are busy around here trying to make sure we have everything we need for our big trip! Looks like we will need to do some shopping today. Nick needs a few more things and there are the toiletries and basic items. I also think we need another suitcase. We have one big one but I think we need another. We will see what we can find. And then there is all his soccer stuff that will need to be packed... I guess I had better make a list!!

Today's card was inspired by a sketch at Try Stamping on Tuesday. It's an older one but I love it! I also wanted to try my blendabilities with this stamp, Vivid Vases. Turned out very bright and cheerful!

• Card base is Old Olive
• Adhere a piece of Daffodil Delight to the card base
• Stamp the image from Vivid Vases onto a piece of Whisper White with black Momento ink and color using the Blendabilities: Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive
• Adhere stamped panel to a piece of Basic Black and then adhere to card with dimensionals
• Adhere a strip of Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry to the stamped panel that has the ends flagged
• Punch a flower from Daffodil Delight using the itty bitty accents punch pack and adhere to card
• Add a rhinestone to flower center

Good morning, Friends! I will finally head home today. It has been a wonderful weekend! And last night's Catalog Premier Party was really fun! It was so great to come back to the hotel room and just slowly go through the new catalog! Now it's up and at 'em and a long drive home. Hopefully the mountains are done with the snowing and blowing and it will be an uneventful trip back! 

Today's card was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I decided to use some really bright colors for this one!

• Card base is Whisper White
• Adhere two strips of Tempting Turquoise onto card base
• Adhere a strip of Melon Mambo that has been flagged at one end to card base
• Stamp the image from Vivid Vases onto a piece of Whisper White using black StazOn and color with Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise and Old Olive markers
• Adhere stamped panel to a piece of Basic Black card stock and then adhere to card with dimensionals
• Adhere a strip of Daffodil Delight card stock 
• Tie a piece of white baker's twine through a Basic Metal button and adhere to card
• Add a rhinestone to flower center

Vivid Smiles

Good morning, Friends! I'm up early and it looks like Nick will be going back to school today! Yeah!! Now to get him caught back up on all his missing work. Ugh! Not going to be easy for someone that does not enjoy school all that much anyway. A little at a time. And I need to get some work done today, too! So I am looking forward to a very productive day!

Today's card is one that I did with my stamp club this month. A fairly simple card!

• Card base is Pool Party
• Adhere a strip of Crisp Cantaloupe
• Stamp the vases image from Vivid Vases single stamp (I stamped this image without the words) in black StazOn onto Whisper White
• Cut out the image with the Banners framelits dies
• Color image with a blender pen and Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party, Summer Starfruit, Pistachio Pudding and Sahara Sand markers
• Adhere stamped image to card with dimensionals
• Stamp greeting from Petite Pairs in black StazOn onto Whisper White and punch out with oval punch
• Use the scallop oval punch to punch shape from Basic Black card stock and adhere to stamped greeting to this then adhere to card
• Add rhinestone to flower center and two to card base

Good morning, Friends! It's time for another Thursday challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we have a fun color challenge! Take a look at these fabulous colors!

Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate. Love these bright cheerful colors! And here is how I used them!

I kept my card very simple! 

• Card base is Daffodil Delight
• A strip of Gingham Garden designer paper with the bottom flagged is adhered to the card base
• Stamp the Vivid Vases image onto Whisper White with black StazOn
• Use Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate ink pads and an aqua painter to color the images (be sure to work fast as Whisper White doesn't like to be watercolored on - lol)
• I did use the same colors of markers to create some highlights in the images
• Adhere stamped piece to a piece of Island Indigo
• Tie a piece of Daffodil Delight seam binding ribbon around the panel and then adhere to card with dimensionals
• Stamp the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Island Indigo onto the card base

Good morning, Friends! Well, I am leaving today for home. It will good to be home but I will miss my friend! Love her dearly!! And her husband has just been SO wonderful! He made dinners, desserts, served us and cleaned up so that we could focus on sewing and quilting! Now how wonderful is that?! Thank you Larry!! I didn't actually get a Christmas stocking done but I did get a lot of the prep work done for two of them and hopefully will get me motivated to get them done before next Christmas - lol! I am really excited about them! So I will be on the road today. Looks to be great weather once again!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at The Sweetest Thing. A very simple sketch! The button element on the sketch threw me off for a bit but then I thought I could just create a bow! Here are the details:

• Card base is Pool Party
• Adhere a strip of Sweet Sorbet designer paper with the end flagged
• Stamp the Vivid Vases single stamp image in black StazOn and watercolor the image with Summer Starfruit, Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding inks and an aqua painter (I also added some Sahara Sand to "ground" the images)
• Layer panel onto a piece of Basic Black 
• Tie a piece of Summer Starfruit twine around panel (twine is from the Sweet Sorbet accessories pack)
• Adhere panel to card with dimensionals
