Good morning everyone! It's Friday!! Woohoo!! And I'm here with the latest challenge from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team! This week's sketch was created by Kim Innis!
Super cute sketch! And here is what I did with it!
Banners are so much fun!! And I decided to use a lot of retiring product on my card! I embossed a piece of Early Espresso with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder (retiring in May) and adhered it to a piece of Very Vanilla. I tied a piece of Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon (retiring in May) around this and stamped the sentiment from Tea Shoppe (retiring in May) in Early Espresso. Then I used the Tea for Two designer paper (retiring in May) to make my banners. The middle banner is cut and the other two were punched with the Pennants builder punch. I adhered these to the embossed panel and added mini brads to the corners. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. I stamped the tea cup in Calypso Coral onto a piece of Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. Then I punched a flower from So Saffron using the itty bitty shapes punch pack, added it to the cup and put a pearl in the flower center.

Today's card was a third one that the ladies did at stamp club this month. This is a super easy one and I really like the way it all came together! I stamped the tea cup from Tea Shoppe in Calypso Coral onto a piece of Very Vanilla. Then I adhered it to a strip of Early Espresso that was punched with the scallop edge border punch. I tied a piece of Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon around this panel and popped it up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla and punched it out with the large oval punch. Over the sentiment I stamped the flower image in So Saffron and sponged the edges with So Saffron. This is adhered to a strip of Tea for Two designer paper that was flagged on both ends. Good Friday morning! Today the Sketch Frenzy Friday team has another wonderful sketch to play along with! This week's sketch was created by Robbie Rubula. Take a look!
A very simple sketch that can be "dressed" up a lot or can be left clean and simple. Hmmm... what to do? Well, take a look at what I came up with!
I kept it pretty simple but also dressed it up. I kept it simple by using designer paper and then dressed it up with a few embellishments. I love the Tea for Two designer paper! I used the newsprint piece and included the teapot with the flower image. Love that!! This is adhered to a piece of Early Espresso and then I tied a piece of Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon around this. The panel is then popped up onto the card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the sentiment from Tea Shoppe in Island Indigo and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch. I cut a piece of Island Indigo just a bit bigger than the punched piece and rounded the corners. I used the Essentials paper piercing pack to punch the label shape into the Island Indigo piece. The stamped label is adhered to the punched piece and then popped up onto the card. I stamped a tea cup in Calypso Coral onto Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. A flower is punched out of Island Indigo using the itty bitty shapes punch pack and added to the tea cup with a pearl for the flower center.

Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is going swell! Nick had the day off yesterday so he was able to hook up with a friend and have some fun! I then was able to get some sewing and stamping done. Loved that! Especially since the weather turned icky. Today is more of the same weather wise. So thankful that the mountains are getting snow! And I love the rain! Spring is really here!! Still a little cooler than I'd like but it's not snowing - lol!! Today will be a very nice day to do more sewing and stamping!
Today's card was inspired by two challenges! The sketch at Freshly Made and the color challenge at Pals Paper Arts. I wasn't sure about these colors but the design team has such beautiful cards that I wanted to try it myself. And I am glad I did! I do like the way this came out! I adhered a piece of Crumb Cake to a piece of Calypso Coral designer paper and then tied a piece of Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon around it. This is then adhered to a card base of Calypso Coral. I punched three pieces of Crumb Cake with the Postage Stamp punch from Crumb Cake and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. These are adhered to squares of Calypso Coral that were punched with the 1 3/8" square punch. I popped these up onto the card. Below the squares I stamped the greeting from Tea Shoppe in Raspberry Ripple. On a scrap of Very Vanilla I stamped the tea cups in Calypso Coral and cut them out. These are popped up onto the squares. I used the Itty Bitty punch pack to punch flowers from Raspberry Ripple and adhered them to each tea cup. A pearl is added to each flower center. Good morning, Friends! What a beautiful day we had around here yesterday! And there should be more of that today! I also have my last hand stitching class today! My classes are ending which means it's time to pick some new ones to take - lol! I just love to learn new things about quilting! Looks Like I will need to wait until the spring schedule comes out which shouldn't be too long.
Today's card started out to be for a sketch challenge but I just couldn't make anything work so ended up doing my own thing and this is what came out! I adhered a piece of Print Poetry designer paper to a piece of Very Vanilla and then tied a piece of Midnight Muse stitched satin ribbon around it. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the sentiment from Tea Shoppe in Midnight Muse onto a circle of Very Vanilla that was cut using the Circles #2 die. This is adhered to a scallop circle that was punched from Midnight Muse using the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch. This is popped up onto the card. On a scrap of Very Vanilla I stamped the tea cup in Summer Starfruit and cut it out. This is popped up onto the circle. Good morning, Friends! Another Monday, another week! They just seem to fly by! And this is the last week of February! Wow! I am excited to see that the sun is coming up much earlier now! Yea!! Spring is on the way!! While it was colder last week and we are starting off cold this week, the temps will be getting warmer by the end of this week! My head cold seems to be getting better but I did wake up with a screaming migraine. Ugh! Looking forward to being done with this!! I hope to have it nipped with the drugs and coffee - lol!
Today's card was inspired by my Pinterest board. I had seen cards with the flowers in the tea cup and new I could recreate that, too! So off to work I went. On a piece of Very Vanilla I stamped the flowers from Tea Shopped in Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder. Then I took another piece of Very Vanilla and ran it through the Big Shot using the Designer Frames embossing folder. I cut around the frame and then cut the middle of the frame out, too. I popped the frame up over the stamped image. I tied a piece of Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon around the panel and popped it up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the tea cup in Wisteria Wonder and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. I added a pearl to the flower center. I stamped the greeting in Wisteria Wonder onto Very Vanilla and punched it out with the Word Window punch. This is attached to the ribbon with the Vintage trinkets. I was a total rebel with this one. I started out creating my card just like the sketch but then I found I needed to rotate the card. Here's how it turned out!
All of the elements of the sketch are still there, just rotated. I punched a strip of Raspberry Ripple card stock using the dotted ribbon scallop punch and adhered it to a piece of Print Poetry designer paper. This is adhered to a piece of Very Vanilla. I stamped the greeting from Tea Shoppe in Raspberry Ripple. A piece of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon is tied around this and then the panel is popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. The tea cup is stamped in Summer Starfruit onto Very Vanilla and cut out. This is popped up onto the card. It's kind of hard to tell but I did add a few pearls to the flower centers.

An interesting sketch, wouldn't you say? I was a little stumped at first and then I just went with 'it' and came up with this...
I did take some liberties with the sketch but I like the way it all came together! The central part of my card is the sketch. I just took that panel and adhered it to an A2 card sized card base. I took a square piece of Whisper White and adhered two strips of Elegant Eggplant and Baja Breeze that have their ends flagged. I ran this through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan embossing folder. Then I added a strip of Elegant Eggplant that was punched with the scallop trim border punch and tied a piece of Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon around this. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. I stamped the tea cup from Tea Shoppe in Summer Starfruit and cut it out.I popped this up onto the card and added three pearls to the flowers on the tea cup. Then I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. This is tucked behind the tea cup.

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is going great! It sure does seem to be flying by!! I am really glad that I was able to sleep in a little. It seems like I have been getting up so darn early for one reason or another. But not today! Later this morning I am taking a class with some other friends on how to weave a basket! I am pretty excited about this! It's something new and different!
Today's card was inspired from the sketch challenge at Retro Sketches. A super simple layout and card! And something a little different! I took a piece of Midnight Muse and used my 1 3/4" circle punch to round the top. I flagged the bottom and then punched a hole at the top to thread some crochet ribbon through. I used a bit of linen thread to tie a bow around that. This is popped up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I took a piece of Summer Starfruit to the Big Shot and used my Delicate Doilies sizzlet to cut a small doily. This is adhered to the tag. The Very Vanilla piece is cut with the Apothecary Accents framelits. I stamped the sentiment from Tea Shoppe in Soft Suede and then sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. I added two silver brads before adhering it to the card. Then I stamped the tea cup in Pool Party on a scrap of Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is going super!! It does seem to be going awfully fast! I need these summer days to slow down a bit. Nick has a haircut this morning and then we need to get the car serviced and then he is having a friend over and then there is baseball practice! Whew!!! I am glad his friend is coming over because that will keep him busy and I can play with my new goodies that just came yesterday!! Yea!!! I got the box when I got home from my massage but I was soooo relaxed that all I wanted to do was 'veg'. So I am looking forward to playing today!
Today's card was inspired by an element that I saw in the new catalog. The Stampin' Up! catalog is a little different in that it doesn't always show a whole card. Their intent was to leave a little to our creative imagination. Most times you can figure out what the rest of the card looks like. But this time I just took the element I saw and made up the rest. I stamped the row of tea cups from Tea Shoppe in Primrose Petals along the bottom of the card base of Primrose Petals. I did have the help of my Stamp-a-ma-jig for this. Then I took a piece of Primrose Petals card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Designer Frames embossing folder. I stamped the sentiment image from Tea Shopped in Basic Gray, Summer Starfruit and Primrose Petals inks onto Whisper White. This is punched out with the extra large oval punch. Behind the oval I, I attached a strip of Summer Starfruit and a strip of Basic Gray. This is then popped up onto the Designer Frame, which is then popped up onto the card. Good morning, Friends! It's time to be challenge by our friends at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with color. Take a look at these colors!
Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Basic Grey. Now who would have thought about putting those colors together? Certainly not me. But it all came together surprisingly easy for me. Here is what I created!
Not too bad, eh? I kept the layout very simple (my middle name - lol). I was actually inspired by a layout in the catalog. I love yellow and grey together but putting the red in there with them just threw me. But I do love the final result! My card base is Basic Grey. Then I took a piece of Whisper White and round the top corners with a corner rounder. I took it to the Big Shot and used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I took a strip of So Saffron and used the scallop edge border punch on it and tucked it behind the white panel before popping it up on the card. Then I stamped the tea cup from Tea Shoppe in Poppy Parade onto a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out. This, too, is popped up on the card. Then I took a strip of Whisper White and stamped the sentiment in Basic Grey. My final touch was to add three little pearls to the flower centers. I flagged one end and tucked the other under the tea cup. Easy!!

Today's card was inspired by one that Becky did for her card class this month. I loved that I could use up some of my scraps from the Attic Boutique designer paper pack. And it is a simple card! I took a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the greeting from Tea Shoppe in Soft Suede. On a scrap piece of Whisper White I stamped the teacup in Pool Party and cut it out. I popped it up next to the greeting. Then I took strips of designer paper from the Attic Boutique designer paper pack and flagged the ends. Then I glued them down onto the panel. I tied a piece of Pool Party seam binding ribbon around the top before adhering it to the card base of Whisper White. Good morning, Friends! It seems that our nice spring weather has turned nasty. Ugh! Yesterday Nick had a soccer game and the poor boys had to fight hurricane force winds. Today Nick has a baseball game and it looks like the winds will be more of the same. Yuck! As a parent and spectator, it is no fun sitting in all this wind either. The baseball games are just scrimmages so I hope he has fun anyway and I hope the rain stays off until we are done! But I do hope it rains because we need the moisture badly!!
Today's card was inspired by a great sketch at Pals Paper Arts. I liked the simplicity of it. And I decided to keep my stamping to a minimum and very simple. I started with a card base of Very Vanilla and adhered a strip of designer paper from the Everyday Enchantment pack. Then I stamped the teacup from Tea Shoppe in Peach Parfait onto Very Vanilla and adhered that to a piece of Soft Suede. This is popped up on the card. I took a strip of Very Vanilla and stamped the greeting in Soft Suede and adhered that to the card. I added some pearls to the flower centers and there you have it! Very simple!! I can't believe how time is just flying by!
Today's card was inspired by a sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I used this card for my shoebox swap this month, too. And it is a really simple card! The colors are not my usual but I found an unopened spool of Pink Pirouette taffeta ribbon and based my colors around that - lol! So I went with the colors in the Beau Chateau designer paper. My card base is Pink Pirouette with a strip of designer paper from the Attic Boutique pack. Then I stamped the tea cup from Tea Shoppe in Marina Mist onto Very Vanilla. I scalloped one end of that piece and tied a piece of Pink Pirouette taffeta ribbon around it. This is adhered to a piece of Marina Mist and then popped up onto the card. I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of Very Vanilla in Soft Suede and punched it out with the 1 3/4" circle punch. I sponged the edges before adhering to the card. Good morning everyone! It must be Monday! I can't believe that we are going to be finishing the month off this week! Wow! I am noticing that the sun is coming up earlier and setting later! I am liking that! We really didn't have much of a winter around here so bring on the spring!!
Today's card was inspired by a sketch at Stamping 411. It was last week's sketch so I am a little behind on it. Oh well. It's still fun to play along even if you can't post it to the challenge. I did something a little different on this. I used my Labels framelits die and cut the shape out of Pool Party and then sponged the edges with Pool Party ink. I wrapped a piece of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon around that and stamped the greeting from Tea Shoppe in Soft Suede. On another piece of Pool Party I adhered a small piece of designer paper from the Attic Boutique designer paper pack and used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder to emboss just the bottom part of the card stock. I glued this to a card base of Pool Party. I also used the Big Shot and the Tasteful Trim die to cut a scallop strip from a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock. This piece is popped up on the card. Then I stamped the tea cup in Soft Suede onto Very Vanilla and cut it out. I popped this up on the card and added a Daffodil Delight flower that was punched with the itty bitty punch pack and a pearl. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! Well, we made it home safe and sound yesterday. We actually got home at a nice time. We were able to unpack, have dinner and still watch a basketball game on t.v. Now we get back to the routine. Nick isn't real happy about that but there is only three weeks till spring break!
Today's card is one that was inspired by a sketch that I saw in a recent PaperCrafts magazine. Very clean and simple! I took a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and a stamp from the Apothecary Art stamp set and inked just the outline of it in Baja Breeze and stamped it onto the card stock. Then I stamped the greeting from Tea Shoppe just below that in Baja Breeze. This panel is popped up on a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I took a strip of Baja Breeze card stock and flagged both ends and adhered it onto the card. I took a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and cut a label using the Labels framelits die. I popped this up onto the card. Then I took a scrap piece of Very Vanilla and stamped one of the tea cups from the Tea Shoppe stamp set in Baja Breeze and cut it out. I also popped this up on the card. My final touch was to punch a flower from Daffodil Delight card stock using the itty bitty shapes punch pack and add a pearl. I do like the way this turned out! Today's card was one that I did for my stamp club ladies last Monday. It was inspired by a sketch from Mary Jo. I really liked this sketch and I think the ladies did as well! I took a strip of Very Vanilla and stamped the three tea cups from the Tea Shoppe stamp set in Peach Parfait. I adhered two strips of Soft Suede that were punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch. Before I glued this to the panel, I cut three strips of designer paper from the Everyday Enchantment designer paper pack, flagged the ends, and stamped the greeting from the same set in Soft Suede. This is mounted to a piece of Soft Suede and then popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the middle tea cup in Peach Parfait onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and cut it out. Good morning, Friends! I really wanted to stay under the nice warm blankets this morning! It is looking really gray outside and looks cold! We are supposed to get some rain so we will see what it does. I need to get up and get ready. Nick has soccer practice and I need to get some laundry done! And I would like to get some crafting done as well. I do need to get ready for my stamp club tomorrow...
Today's card was done for Mary Jo's Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. She posts a new one each Monday so I am getting in just under the wire! I haven't been able to play along in a while so it is nice to get back into it! And a nice simple sketch, too! I started with a piece of Pool Party where I stamped the greeting from Tea Shoppe in Soft Suede. Over the greeting I stamped the flower in Pool Party. I attached this piece to a card base of Soft Suede. Then I took a strip of Very Vanilla and stamped the three tea cups in Pool Party. Behind this strip I attached two pieces of Soft Suede that were punched with the dotted scallop ribbon punch and then glued it down to the card. I stamped one of the tea cups on a scrap of Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up on the card over the tea cup that was already stamped. Then I took a scrap of Daffodil Delight and punched a flower with the itty bitty shapes punch pack and adhered it to the tea cup. Then I added a pearl. A nice easy card! Good morning everyone! Yea! It's Friday! I am ready for a great weekend! Are you? Sketch Frenzy Friday has another great challenge for you all this week! I do hope you will find time to play along with us! Take a look at the fantastic sketch that Jennifer designed for us!
Lots of possibilities on this one! But here is what I decided to do with this sketch!
My picture didn't come out very good. I am still experimenting with photo editing. I hope I get better - lol! Anyway, I took a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and then popped it up on a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I took the dotted ribbon scallop punch and punched two strips of Pool Party and tucked them behind a strip of Very Vanilla. This is adhered to the card. Then I cut a Very Vanilla piece of card stock using the Lots of Tags sizzlets and stamped the greeting from Tea Shoppe in Soft Suede. I stamped a tea cup from the same set in Pool Party on Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is glued to the corner of the tag and the tag is popped up on the card. Then I punched a flower out of Daffodil Delight using the itty bitty shapes punch pack, glued it to the tea cup and then added a pearl.

Good morning, Friends! Well this week seems to be flying by! But I do seem to be getting a lot done. I have been really busy stamping. I have been working on getting ahead on my design team cards so that they are all ready to go when the time comes. Now I need to get cards done for the other days in between!
Today's card was inspired by one that I saw in a recent magazine. I was inspired by the frame that they had done on the card and so I went to replicate it with our products. And I do like how it turned out! I took a piece of the Attic Boutique designer paper and a piece of Whisper White to the Big Shot and used two of the Labels framelits die to cut the frame. The piece of Whisper White is to help make the designer paper a little more sturdy because this gets popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. I stamped the teacup from Tea Shoppe in Pool Party onto the card and the greeting in Soft Suede. I tied some white baker's twine on a button from the neutrals collection and added it to the frame. The button looks black but it is actually a brown one. I am experimenting with my photos to try to get them to come out a little better. I will keep trying!
