Good morning, Friends! And Happy Thanksgiving! We are visiting my family in Kansas and we are all here for the weekend! I love it! I hope you all are having a fantastic day! Today is also the Thursday challenge from Create with Connie and Mary. This week we are being challenged with a fantastic sketch! Take a look!

And my card...

I kept my card very simple and stuck pretty much to the sketch. I wanted to put a Thanksgiving greeting in there somewhere but it just didn't look quite right so I left it off. Here are the details:

  • Card base is Soft Sky
  • Layer of Sweater Weather with the top right hand corner rounded is adhered to the card base and then a strip of Chocolate Chip is adhered to the card base, too
  • Stamp the splotches from the Gorgeous Grunge set in Soft Sky onto a piece of Naturals white and round the bottom left hand corner then pop panel up onto card
  • Stamp leaf image from Wonderfall in Crushed Curry onto a piece of Naturals White and cut out then pop up onto card
  • Thread some linen thread through a Naturals designer button and adhere to card
Very simple fall card. One last one before the Christmas season starts!! Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary site for more inspiration! Thanks for stopping by and may you experience many blessings this day!

Good Friday morning, Friends! We will be leaving this afternoon for Kansas to visit family for the week of Thanksgiving! So excited! Today's Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch was created by Robbie Rubula. Take a look!

I love the sketch but it did have me stumped when I went to create my card. I wanted to get in a few more fall cards and I was able to make it come to come together! Take a look!

Here are the details:

  • Card base is Naturals white
  • On a layer of Naturals white stamp the large leaf image from Wonderfall in Crushed Curry
  • Stamp the sentiment from Seasonal Sayings in Chocolate Chip
  • Adhere layer to a layer of Chocolate Chip card stock and then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp smaller leaf in Tangerine Tango onto a a piece of Naturals white, cut out and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Thread some linen thread through three Naturals designer buttons and adhere to card
Very simple! Be sure to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog for more inspiration! I hope you will play along with us this week! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

CCMC 277

Good morning, Friends! Once again I am lacking in my daily postings. I am still sewing away on Christmas gifts! My parents arrived yesterday to watch Nick play some basketball games this weekend! His birthday is on Tuesday (OMG - 14 years old) so there is a lot going on right now! But it's all good and I am happy to have at least my challenge cards posted for you all!!

Today's Thursday challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team is a sketch challenge! Take a look!

And my card...

Love all the possibilities with this sketch! I decided to make a Thanksgiving card. Seems like we overlook that holiday. What a shame! Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Sahara Sand
  • Layer of Sahara Sand was run through the Big Shot using the Woodgrain embossing folder
  • Adhere a strip of Sweater Weather to the right hand side of layer and then adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Stamp leaf image from Wonderfall in Tangerine Tango onto Whisper White and cut out then pop up onto card
  • Stamp greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Chocolate Chip onto a strip of Whisper White and flag the end then adhere to leaf
  • Tie a piece of linen thread through a Natural designer button and adhere to card
Pretty simple card but I love the pop of that orange against the neutral card stock! It really pops! Reminds me of the fall colors here in Colorado!! I hope you are inspired to play along with us this week! For more wonderful inspiration, be sure to check out the other creations at Create with Connie and Mary!

Good morning, Friends! Woohoo! It's Friday! And Sketch Frenzy Friday has a new sketch for you all to play along with! This week's sketch was created by Kim Innis. Take a look!

And my card...

I am trying to make more fall cards than Christmas cards between now and Thanksgiving. Stampin' Up! is kind of short of the Thanksgiving stamps so I am using the heck out my Wonderfall stamp set to make fall cards. I am pretty sure that I will run out ideas pretty soon! Thank goodness for sketch challenges like this one! Here are the card details…

  • Card base is Soft Sky
  • On a layer of Naturals White card stock, stamp the splatters from Gorgeous Grunge in Soft Sky
  • To the back of this layer, adhere a piece of Chocolate Chip and five banners cut from Sweater Weather designer paper then pop this piece up onto the card
  • Stamp leaf from Wonderfall in Tangerine Tango and cut out
  • Adhere a basics glimmer brad and then pop up onto card
  • Stamp sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Chocolate Chip onto a strip of Naturals White and flag the end then adhere to card
Be sure to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the other designers did with this sketch! I hope you will be inspired to play along with us this week! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Wonderfall Pie

Good morning, Friends! I think morning came a little too early for me! I do wish I were still sleeping - lol! But there is lots to do today so I had better get busy! Nick's basketball team won their game last night and that makes them undefeated! I know there will be a team coming up next week that will be really tough! Soccer is over for now with just a few practices here and there to get ready for a tournament this winter. And I do know he wants to do indoor soccer. Still lots to keep him busy - lol!

I wanted to make a fall card for today's post. I am trying to get some made before it's really over. At the school where the game was played yesterday, they had a big tree with leaves that were red, yellow and green! It was so beautiful! While there were leaves still on the tree, there were quite a few on the ground, too! Now that's a true fall picture! Here are the details on the card:

  • Card base is Naturals white
  • Layer of Naturals white with a layer of Sweater Weather adhered to the bottom portion then all four corners of layer were rounded with the 3/4" circle punch
  • Stamp splatters and splotches from Gorgeous Grunge onto layer using Smoky Slate
  • Tie a piece of Smoky Slate 3/4" chevron ribbon around panel
  • Stamp greeting from Four You in Coastal Cabana then pop up onto card
  • Stamp leaf from Wonderfall in Pumpkin Pie onto Naturals white and cut out
  • Add some splatters from Gorgeous Grunge using Smoky Slate then adhere to card using dimensionals
I found these colors from the Color Coach and thought they sounded interesting. And they stamp a little differently using the Naturals white card stock.

The Create with Connie and Mary Winter Collection is going on right now! My project was shown yesterday! But the only way to see it is to be a subscriber! It's not too late to sign up and join. You will still get to see ALL the projects shown so far and get the downloadable tutorials! You will get SO many great ideas and just in time for the holidays! Be sure to check it out! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Gorgeous Grunge Leaf

Good Sunday morning, Friends! We are getting ready for our last soccer game of the season! The boys won yesterday so that was pretty exciting! They really have a great record this season! I am so proud of them!! We are hoping that we will be home in plenty of time to see the Bronco game this evening!

Today's card was another one that we did at stamp club this month. I kind of liked how this one turned out! Here are the details:

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Layer of Crumb Cake that was stamped with the images from the Gorgeous Grunge set in Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry and Chocolate Chip then sponged with Crumb Cake
  • The greeting from Sweet Essentials was stamped in Chocolate Chip and then a piece of Crushed Curry 3/4" chevron ribbon was tied around it
  • The panel is popped up onto the card
  • The leaf was cut from the Sweater Weather designer paper using the Autumn Accents die and then sponged with Tangerine Tango ink and stamped with the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge
  • Leaf is adhered to card with dimensionals
The Create with Connie and Mary Winter Collection starts today! They will be announcing the Blog Candy winners today so be sure to check their website throughout the day to see if  you are a winner! You can also sign up for this Winter Collection! I hope to see you there! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! Yippee!! It's Friday! I can't believe that we have been in our new house for a whole week already! Wow! I even have my stamp/craft room somewhat unpacked and organized! Just a few more boxes and a little tweaking and I'll be good to go! We are off to Denver for the last two soccer games of the season! Basketball started this last week and Nick is playing great! He is just so fun to watch and he does love his basketball!

Sketch Frenzy Friday has a new challenge for us this week! This week's sketch was created by Kim Innis. Take a look!

Such a fun sketch! Here is what I came up with...

I kept it pretty simple, just like the sketch. Card details:

  • Card base is Naturals White
  • Stamp the oak leaf from Wonderfall in Tangerine Tango onto the card
  • Stamp splotches from Gorgeous Grunge in Sahara Sand
  • Stamp smaller leaf in Crushed Curry onto a scrap of Naturals White and cut out
  • Stamp the splotches again onto the smaller leaf
  • Adhere a strip of Sweater Weather designer paper with end flagged onto card
  • Adhere the cut out leaf with dimensionals
  • Stamp greeting from Sweet Essentials in Chocolate Chip onto card
  • Thread some linen thread through a Naturals designer button and adhere to leaf on card using glue dots

Good morning, Friends! It's time for another Thursday challenge with the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we have a beautiful color challenge!

Such lovely colors! Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron and Bermuda Bay. Here's what I created!

I decided to go with a fall card using these colors. And I think it worked! We used to have a tree called a Purple Autumn Ash that would really turn purple in the fall! It was a beautiful tree!! That's what these razzleberry leaves remind me of. Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Layer of Whisper White with the leaves from Wonderfall stamped in So Saffron, Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry
  • Stamp some splotches using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Crumb Cake then adhere panel to card
  • Stamp greeting from Perfectly Penned in VersaMark onto a piece of Bermuda Bay and emboss with white emboss powder
  • Flag bottom of panel and adhere to card
  • Cut a thin strip of Crumb Cake and adhere to banner then add three pearls
  • Stamp leave in Rich Razzleberry onto Whisper White and cut out then pop up onto card
Be sure to see what the other designers did with these colors! You can find their designs at the Create with Connie and Mary website. I hope that you will be inspired to play along!

Autumn Circle Flip Card

Good morning, Friends! I have been kind of lazy around here these last few days. I have been busy but not with a lot of stamping. Today I need to try and get back on track with that. I am actually working on Christmas presents! So my fingers have been doing a lot of hand sewing. And I think that I am going to have a good jump on those! I also took a sewing class and that got me distracted, too. So back to stamping today!!

Today's card was one I did for the shoebox club I am in. I wanted to use the new Circle Card Thinlit. These are quite fun!! Stampin' Up! has come out with two different flip card versions. This is the circle one and then there is a label one. Taking a picture of the card is quite interesting! Here is the card closed.

And then opened...

Fun, huh!! The card will fit inside a regular A2 envelope! Love that! And I was able to create an extra panel for more writing on the inside. I simply followed Patty Bennett's video on how to do this. Very simple! Here are the details:

  • Use Sahara Sand and the Circle Card Thinlit to create the card base
  • Stamp the splatters using the Gorgeous Grunge set and Chocolate Chip ink onto the Sweater Weather designer paper, adhere to a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock and then to the flap of the card
  • Adhere a strip of Sweater Weather designer paper to the front panel of the card
  • For the circles adhere a circle of Chocolate Chip that was cut with the Circles #2 die
  • Stamp the leaf from Wonderfall in Tangerine Tango onto a scallop circle that was cut using the scallop circle die in the Thinlits package and then stamp some splatters from Gorgeous Grunge in Chocolate Chip then adhere to the front circle
  • Stamp the same leaf in Tangerine Tango (stamp off once) onto another scallop circle and then stamp the greeting from Perfectly Penned in Chocolate Chip directly over that and adhere to back circle
  • Stamp the leaf again onto a scrap of Whisper White in Crushed Curry and add some splatters with the Gorgeous Grunge set and Chocolate Chip ink, cut out and pop up onto card
  • Tie some linen thread around a piece of Naturals Trim and add to card
These are so fun to make and I hope that you try one, too! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Wonderfall, Perfectly Penned, Gorgeous Grunge; Paper- Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Sweater Weather designer paper; Ink- Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry; Accessories- Circle Card Thinlits dies, Circles #2 die, 7/16" Naturals Trim, linen thread, dimensionals

I do hope that you are a subscriber so that you could see all the fabulous card ideas and download the tutorials! If you aren't a subscriber can still sign up and see all the fabulous creations that the designers have come up with! My card set was featured this past week and I do hope you got to see it! At the end of each week, Connie and Mary offer a special challenge and this week it's a sketch challenge! Take a look!

Lots of fun with this one! I used a fall theme and here's what I created!

A fairly easy card but if you don't like cutting things out then using the coordinating die can make it all a little easier. I have an easier time cutting the leaves out than getting my stamping just right - lol! Anyway, here are the details:

  • Card base is Sahara Sand
  • Layer of Chocolate Chip
  • A layer of Sweater Weather designer paper is adhere to the Chocolate Chip and the greeting from Petite Pairs is stamped in Chocolate Chip
  • On Whisper White stamp the leaves from Wonderfall in Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry and Soft Sky and cut out
  • Arrange leaves onto card and adhere together then pop up onto card
  • Fold a piece of Crushed Curry chevron ribbon in half and tie some linen thread around that and through a Naturals designer button then adhere to card
That's all there is to it! Be sure to check out the other fabulous creations at Create with Connie and Mary! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Crushed Curry Maple

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week got off to a great start! Nick didn't have soccer practice yesterday so that made the evening a little more relaxing. He was able to get his homework done and we were able to celebrate Pat's birthday with a nice dinner prepared by our wonderful friend, Becky!! Yum!! And we were even able to watch our Rockies win!! Woohoo! I get my hair cut today. I think that I lost my focus yesterday and forgot to do some things that I had wanted to be sure to get done. Ooops!! So I guess I had better get that done first today!

Today's card is one that I had done for a swap this month. I should be getting those back soon. I love how the bright maple leaf pops off the card! Reminds me of how the leaves look around here in Colorado during the fall. Here are the details:

  • Card base is Sahara Sand
  • On a layer of Sahara Sand stamp the splotches using the images from Gorgeous Grunge and Sahara Sand ink and stamp the greeting from Petite Pairs in Chocolate Chip
  • On a piece of Sweater Weather designer paper, stamp the splotches using Sahara Sand ink, sponge edges and adhere to panel
  • Adhere the panel to the card base
  • Stamp leaf image from Wonderfall in Crushed Curry onto Whisper White, cut out and pop up onto card
  • Tie a piece of linen thread around a strip of 7/16" Natural Trim and adhere to leaf

Good morning, Friends! The Create with Connie and Mary team have a sketch challenge for us this week! Check it out!

What a fantastic sketch! Love that you can use scraps of designer paper for this! Here's what I came up with!

My card came together fairly quick as I had these two leaves stamped and cut out and just laying on my table waiting to be used! So that was my starting point! Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Sahara Sand
  • On a layer of Sahara Sand stamp the splotches from Gorgeous Grunge using Sahara Sand ink then run through the Big Shot using the Pretty Print embossing folder and adhere to card base
  • Cut three panels of Sweater Weather designer paper and pop up onto card
  • Stamp leaves from Wonderfall in Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry onto Very Vanilla card stock, cut out and pop up onto card
  • Stamp greeting from Four You in Chocolate Chip onto a Very Vanilla strip, flag the end and adhere to card
  • Tie a bow on the back side of a Naturals button using linen thread and adhere to card
Pretty simple and a card that gets me thinking of fall! Be sure to see what the other wonderful designers did with this great sketch at the Create with Connie and Mary site! So much inspiration!!

Framed Fall Leaves

Good morning, Friends! I think I am ready for the weekend already - lol! Nick's school has their Open House/Back to School Night tonight. I am looking forward to putting a face to the teacher's name. Other than that, it looks like a day to try and get caught up on things.

Today's card is the last of the cards for my stamp club this month. I really liked the way this one came out! And it's not that hard! The frame can be easily made if you have the magnetic platform for the framelits dies. I don't have one, yet, but it would definitely have been easier!! Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • On a layer of Crumb Cake, stamp the oak leaf image from Wonderfall in Cajun Craze, the splotches from Gorgeous Grunge in Crumb Cake, and the greeting from Petite Pairs in Early Espresso then sponge panel with Crumb Cake
  • Adhere layer onto Cajun Craze and then pop up onto card
  • Cut a frame using two of the labels framelits dies from Crumb Cake card stock, sponge inside and outside edges with Crumb Cake ink then pop up onto card
  • Stamp small leaf image in Always Artichoke onto Crumb Cake, cut out and adhere to frame
  • Tie a bow with some linen thread and use a glue dot to adhere to leaf then add a candy dot to the bow
There you have it! Fall will be here before we know it!

So have you signed up for the Create with Connie and Mary Fall Collection 2013 yet? Here's the information once again. I don't want you to miss out on the Early Bird pricing!

Wonderfall Thanks

Good morning everyone! A quick one this morning as we are headed out the door and home to Colorado! What a super great, fun, and special week we had! Can't wait to come back for Christmas!

Today's card was inspired by one I had save from Pinterest. And the last of my fall cards for a while. I adhered a piece of Early Espresso to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I layered a piece of Orchard Harvest designer paper to a piece of Very Vanilla. I wrapped some linen thread around it a few times and popped it up onto the card. Then I stamped the leaves from Wonderfall in Cajun Craze and More Mustard onto Very Vanilla and cut them out. These are popped up onto the card. I tied some linen thread through a bronze button and added it to the card then I stamped the sentiment from Made for You in Early Espresso onto a strip of Very Vanilla and tucked it behind the button. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super day!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello everyone! And Happy Thanksgiving! We are taking the turkey to my sister's house and enjoying the day with her family. I am looking forward to football games and a great dinner!!

Today's card was inspired by last week's Mojo Monday sketch. I did leave off a few elements but they just didn't look quite right on my card. So I just kept it very simple! I adhered a piece of Orchard Harvest designer paper to a card base of Crumb Cake. Then I stamped the sentiment from Seasonal Sayings in Midnight Muse and Raspberry Ripple onto a piece of Crumb Cake. Then I stamped the leaf from Wonderfall in Crumb Cake right over the sentiment. I used the scallop trim punch on the edge of the piece and then sponged it with Crumb Cake ink. This is adhered to a piece of Midnight Muse. Then I tied a piece of Midnight Muse stitched satin ribbon around this before popping it up onto the card. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Good Friday morning everyone! I am so glad it's Friday!! And it's time for another great sketch challenge from the Sketch Frenzy Friday team! This week's sketch was created by Tammy Fite. Take a look!

Great sketch!! Love the clean and simple look of this one! I wanted to keep going with the fall/Thanksgiving theme so here is what I came up with!

I wanted to create a sort of background so I stamped the leaf from Wonderfall in Crumb Cake onto a card base of Crumb Cake. And then once I covered it up with the three strips of designer paper from the Orchard Harvest pack, I realized that you can't really even see it - lol! Oh well. Then I stamped a different leaf from the same set in Cajun Craze onto Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Cajun Craze onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flagged both ends before adhering it to the leaf image. It may be hard to tell from the photo, but I took the color spritzer tool and the Crumb Cake marker and spritzed some color over the card.

Be sure to visit the Sketch Frenzy Friday blog to see what the rest of the designers did with this sketch. I hope you are inspired to play along this week! We always love to see what you do with our sketches! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is going super! It's time for another Thursday challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we are being challenged with color! Take a look at these fabulous colors!!

Cajun Craze, More Mustard, and Midnight Muse! So pretty together and yet I had such a hard time actually putting them together - ugh! I hate it when that happens. So I used a lot of white space with mine. Not totally what I was going for but it works for the challenge.

I have been wanting to make more autumn/Thanksgiving cards as this season seems to just fly by. I ran a piece of Whisper White through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain embossing folder. Then I adhered a piece of Cajun Craze to this and wrapped a piece of Midnight Muse stitched satin ribbon around the panel before popping it up onto a card base of Whisper White. On another piece of Whisper White I stamped the sentiment from Seasonal Sayings in Midnight Muse and popped this up onto the card. Finally, I stamped the leaf from Wonderfall in More Mustard onto a piece of Whisper White and popped this up onto the card. Very simple!

Be sure to check it out what the other designers did with these colors. You can find their fabulous creations on the Create with Connie and Mary website. I do hope that you will be inspired to play along with us this week! Be sure to upload your creation to the website so that we can all take a look!
