CCMC Saturday Blog Hop: Hello Honey Leaves

Good morning everyone! It's time for another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday blog hop! This week we are featuring fall cards that use one or more of the old In Colors! I am your stop after the fabulous Debbie Henderson!

Fall is my favorite time of year! The leaves are turing a beautiful golden yellow and that was my inspiration for this card! I decided to use the beautiful In Color, Hello Honey and the Vintage Leaves stamp set!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Adhere a strip of Rich Razzleberry washi tape (from the Happy Haunting designer washi tape) to another piece of Whisper White
  • Stamp the smaller leaf from the Vintage Leaves stamp set onto the panel using Hello Honey ink (I stamped off once before stamping onto my panel)
  • Stamp the splotches from the Perpetual Calendar stamp set onto the panel using Crumb Cake ink (I stamped off once before stamping onto my panel)
  • Adhere panel to card base
  • Stamp the two other leaves onto a piece of Hello Honey card stock using Momento ink and cut out using the Leaflets framelits
  • Sponge the leaves using Hello Honey ink then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from And Many More stamp set onto a strip of Whisper White using Momento ink and flag one end then adhere to card
  • Thread a piece of linen thread through a gold basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to card
  • Add a few gold sequins to card
Have you subscribed to the Create with Connie and Mary October mini edition? It starts tomorrow and you won't want to miss it! Here is a snippet of what you can expect! I hope to see you there!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop: Halloween Treat/Favor

Hello everyone and welcome to another fun Saturday blog hop! The Create with Connie and Mary designers are showing you all some fun little treat projects for Halloween! I am your stop after the fabulous Debbie Henderson!

I found a great tutorial from Becky Roberts that showed how to make these fun little file folder treat holders! It's the perfect size to hold a little chocolate! I didn't have any candy to put in it. We try not to have any candy around the house as I tend to eat it all - yikes! So this one is empty but I look forward to finding a special treat to put inside!

  • Cut a piece of Happy Haunting designer paper at 3" x 5" then score at 2 1/4" x 2 1/2"
  • Use the Envelope Punch Board and the paper trimmer to create the file folder tabs on each side of the paper
  • Cut a spider web doily into fourths and adhere to the front of the treat holder
  • Wrap a piece of Very Vanilla thick baker's twine around the holder and tie a bow
  • Stamp the spider image from Howl-o-Ween Treat stamp set using Basic Black archival ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla and cut out using the Boo to You framelits
  • Stamp the greeting from And Many More stamp set onto a strip of Very Vanilla using Basic Black archival ink and flag one end then adhere to back of spider and adhere to treat holder
Super easy and a fun treat to give anyone! I might think about doing this for my students! Time to send you on to see what the fabulous Connie Babbert has created! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Gold Butterfly

Hello everyone! I hope your weekend is going great! Mine seems to be going really fast! The wind blew yesterday and now my allergies are really bad. Ugh! I wish it would rain!! Hopefully today will be a little more calm. All this dust just gives me a headache! I did get a lot done yesterday! I got all my cards done for stamp club which happens tomorrow night and a few others! Today is a day of stitching and then I really have to get the laundry finished up! And then it's another busy week at work!

Today's card was inspired by one I had pinned. I liked how the card used the washi tape. It seems that I get all this washi tape and then never use it so I decided to experiment here. Not sure it's my favorite but I like the sparkle!

  • Card base is Very Vanilla
  • On another piece of Very Vanilla card stock adhere the Watercolor Wonder washi tape in various lengths
  • Adhere the panel to the card base using dimensionals
  • Cut a butterfly from gold glimmer paper using the Butterfly thinlits and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from And Many More onto a strip of Very Vanilla using Tuxedo black Momento ink and flag the end then adhere to butterfly body
  • Thread a piece of gold baker's twine through a gold basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to butterfly body
Super simple card! Week 2 of the Create with Connie and Mary Cards "Create"tions edition starts today! You can still subscribe to see all the wonderful creations that have been shared so far! Hello everyone! It's time for another blog hop with the Stamp Review Crew! This time we are featuring the Wondrous Wreath stamp set! This stamp set was released in the Holiday mini catalog but has been carried over! I used it for fall and Christmas so it was fun to come up with something for the spring season! I am your stop right after the fabulous Martha Inchley.

With the weather we are having here in Western Colorado, it wasn't hard to make a spring card! It is just gorgeous around here! So I looked ahead to an upcoming holiday and chose Mother's Day to make this pretty spring wreath.

I used the sketch at Freshly Made to help me with the layout and the colors came from the All Abloom designer paper stack.

  • Adhere a strip of the All Abloom designer paper to the card base
  • Run a piece of Pistachio Pudding card stock through the Big Shot using the Decorative Dots embossing folder then adhere to card
  • Stamp the first layer of leaves from Wondrous Wreath onto a piece of Whisper White using Pistachio Pudding ink
  • Stamp the second layer of leaves over the first layer using Mossy Meadow ink then cut out using the Wonderful Wreath framelits
  • Adhere wreath to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the sentiment from And Many More onto a strip of Whisper White using Tuxedo Black Momento ink and angle the ends then adhere to wreath with dimensionals
  • Punch a variety of flowers from Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight and Blushing Bride using the itty bitty accents punch pack
  • Adhere flowers to the wreath then add rhinestones to flower centers

Starry Ghost

Good morning, Friends! Whew!! It has just been a crazy few days around here for me! I thought I was doing good by being so far ahead of schedule but then my schedule caught up with me and all of the sudden I have NO time to finish anything up! UGH! I can't wait to get out of town and have nothing to do but sew! I haven't touched my sewing machine since this past summer! I miss it! Looking forward to seeing my friend and having good company on the road! Now to get this last load of laundry and more packing...

Today's card is one I put together last night. I have been wanting to put together some fall/Halloween cards before it's too late. I do love this little die cut ghost! I wasn't sure exactly how to use him but I kind of took a sketch I saw and made it work.

  • Card base is Crushed Curry
  • Use the Confetti Stars punch to punch across the top of a piece of Basic Black and adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Use the fringe scissors to fringe the edge of a piece of Old Olive card stock
  • Stamp the greeting from And Many More onto the Old Olive panel using Tuxedo Black Momento ink
  • Tie a piece of Basic Black 1/8" taffeta ribbon around the Old Olive panel and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Use the Fun Fall framelits to cut a ghost out of Whisper White then stamp the face using the image from Fall Fest with Tuxedo Black Momento ink
  • Adhere ghost to card (I doubled the thickness of dimensionals at the top of the ghost)
Pretty simple! And a fun Halloween card! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day! Don't forget that we are into week 2 of the Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Edition! Lots of fun happening!!
