Good morning, Friends! Well, I didn't get anything done yesterday- lol! Actually I worked hard on a stitching project that is for a Christmas present and have that almost done. But I did not venture out to shop at all! Sooo… It looks like today is the day! But I think I am a little more ready to do it. I just hope I can get it all done fairly quickly! Then Nick has an indoor soccer game and more basketball practice. Busy, busy, busy! His finals are also coming up this week. He says he's ready! And we will see if I can be ready to leave on Friday.

I had wanted to post another Christmas card but didn't get one made so I am showing you a card that I did with my stamp club this month. This one was inspired by a sketch from My Favorite Things. Here are the details:

  • Layer of Etcetera designer paper that is sponged with Baked Brown Sugar
  • Strip of Night of Navy card stock that was punched with the scallop edge border punch and then adhered to the dsp layer
  • Adhere panel to card with dimensionals
  • Squares were cut from Naturals Vanilla and then stamped with the script image from Notable Notions in Baked Brown Sugar
  • Sponge squares with Baked Brown Sugar then adhere to card
  • Cut a strip of Baked Brown Sugar card stock and angle both ends then adhere to card

Good morning, Friends! It's the weekend! Looks like it is supposed to snow around here again. It looks all cloudy and gloomy outside, anyway. And it looks really cold! Brr! Thankfully I don't have to really do anything anywhere today so I will enjoy my nice warm house and hopefully get some stamping and stitching done!

Today's card really fits the way it looks outside! I had originally made this for the CCMC color challenge this week. We are supposed to use current product. Well, this set has sold out so it's not considered current anymore. I do love this set so I thought I would share this card anyway. Here are the details:

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Use the Delicate Doilies sizzlit to cut a doily from Whisper White and adhere to a layer of Whisper White with dimensionals
  • Adhere layer to card with dimensionals
  • Punch a circle from Night of Navy with the 1 3/4" circle punch
  • Stamps large snowflake from Endless Wishes in VersaMark and emboss with gold emboss powder then stan two smaller snowflakes in Whisper White craft ink
  • Adhere punched circle to card
  • Stamp "merry" onto strip of Whisper White with VersaMark ink and emboss with gold emboss powder then stamp rest of greeting with Night of Navy ink
  • Flag end of strip and adhere to card
I did use the sketch from My Favorite Things to help me put this all together. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are all having a super week! We had a great time with my parents this past week! They left yesterday morning and it's been pretty quiet and a little somber :( We always hate to say goodbye. But we will be seeing them again in about three weeks so that is something to look forward to! Yesterday I got my order from Stampin' Up! with my first order from the new catalog! Woohoo! I can't wait to find some time to play with all the new goodies! And there is still lots more I want to get - lol! A little at a time...

Today's card was done with a new set that I got with the pre-order. I also made this card for a recent swap I was in. The layout came from a sketch at My Favorite Things. A super simple card! I embossed a piece of Island Indigo with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder and adhered it to a card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped the greeting from Bring on the Cake in Island Indigo onto a piece of Gingham Garden designer paper. This is adhered to a piece of Melon Mambo and then the panel is popped up onto the card. I stamped the mosaic image from Mosaic Madness in Island Indigo twice onto Whisper White and punched it out with the mosaic punch. These are popped up onto the card and rhinestones are added to the centers. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I have been a little scarce lately. My son is out of school for the summer and now my parents are visiting for a while. So I did some stamping to get caught up on my design team assignments and that's really about it! I will be back in the swing of things, soon, so just hang in there with me! I appreciate all of you! Today is the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge and this week it's all about color! Take a look at these beautiful colors!

Island Indigo, Pool Party and So Saffron! I used the sketch from My Favorite Things to get me going on this and here is what I came up with!

A very simple sketch! I embossed a piece of Pool Party using the Moder Mosaic TEF (textured embossing folder) and adhered it to a piece of Island Indigo. This is then popped up onto a card base of So Saffron. Then I stamped the greeting from Bring on the Cake in Island Indigo onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. This adhered to popped up panel. On Whisper White I stamped the image from Mosaic Madness in Island Indigo and cut it out. I adhered it to a piece of Island Indigo that was punched with the mosaic punch and then popped it up onto the card. I stamped the smaller image in So Saffron onto Whisper White and cut it out. This is popped up onto the first image and a pearl is added.

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website for more wonderful inspiration from the rest of the design team! I hope I will see your creation uploaded there this week! I just love to see what you all come up with and I do get inspired by your creations! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! It's hard for me to believe that this is the last week of April! Wow! Where does the time go? It was a L O N G drive home yesterday! The boys didn't play well. Bummer. It was really quiet in our car! Now it is quite a fight to get him going this morning! Thankfully, this will be the last weekend for a late night ride home. Only three more games. It's been a quick season! Also, I promised you the link to the fabric organizer that I made last week for the Control Freaks blog tour. I finally found it and you can find it 'here'. Thanks for being patient with me on that one.

My card today was inspired by the sketch at My Favorite Things. I finally used something other than white as my card base - lol!! My card base this time is Island Indigo. This I layered a piece of the Summer Smooches onto two strips of Lucky Limeade that were punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch. I inserted two silver brads before adhering it to the card base. Then I stamped the image from Bright Blossoms onto Whisper White in Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Tangerine Tango. This panel is popped up onto the card. I stamped the floral bunch on a scrap piece of Whisper White in Tangerine Tango and cut around it. I popped this up onto the panel. Then I stamped the greeting from Bring on the Cake in Island Indigo and adhered it to the panel. Quick and Easy!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! We sure did and the weather was just perfect for about anything you might want to do! We attended a wonderful church service where one of our nieces was baptized and then had an awesome dinner with family! It was great to chat and catch up on the happenings around us! Then we came home and relaxed. Now it's Monday and time to get back to it!

Today's card was inspired by a sketch at My Favorite Things. This was an older one but still fun to use!! I started with a card base of Whisper White and added a piece of Summer Smooches designer paper and then a strip of Rich Razzleberry card stock. I used the Bright Blossoms stamp set for this card. I cut three panels of Whisper White and stamped the stem in Lucky Limeade. I stamped the vases in Tangerine Tango on scrap card stock and cut them out and adhered them onto the panels. I stamped the flower bunch in Rich Razzleberry onto scrap pieces and cut them out, too. These are popped up onto the three panels and the three panels are popped up onto the card. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Rich Razzleberry, flagged the ends and then adhered it to the card. My finishing touch was to added a rhinestone to each panel. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Sunday morning everyone! I hope you are all having a super weekend! Are you going to be watching the Superbowl? We will. It won't be a "big" deal here but we will watch and have a good time! Got some great snack recipes that I want to try. Nick has soccer practice before that. And it appears that I really need to get some laundry done!

Today's card was made from a sketch at My Favorite Things. Great sketch!! I like to see what they have going on occasionally and try my hand at their sketches. And I like the way this one turned out! I took a piece of Soft Suede and adhered a piece of Attic Boutique designer paper then adhered a strip of Pool Party to that. This panel is popped up on a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I took a piece of Very Vanilla and ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Pennants die and another piece of Very Vanilla was punched with the 1 3/4" circle punch. The scallop piece is popped up and the circle is popped up as well. I stamped the teacup from Tea Shopped on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla and cut it out. I popped it up on the circle. I stamped the greeting in Soft Suede on a strip of Very Vanilla and tucked it under the teacup. My finishing touch was to add a flower that was punched from Pool Party with the itty bitty shapes punch pack and add a pearl. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are all having a super weekend! No winter storm here. Although, today I can't see the mountains around us because of the heavy cloud cover. Looks like they are getting snow. And that's good! So it will be a lazy day around here watching football (go Teebow!!) and staying warm! I made some yummy chili last night for dinner and we have leftovers so that might be the choice of food for tonight as well. I don't mind!

Today's card was inspired from a sketch at My Favorite Things. I don't have any fancy shape die cuts (not yet, anyway), so I made the layer behind my greeting from the two ends of the Top Note die. The card base is Cherry Cobbler with layers of Garden Green and a piece of Frostwood Lodge designer paper. Then I stamped the greeting from the Christmas Lodge stamp set with Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green markers onto Whisper White card stock and the two ends of the Top Note die were glued behind it. I popped this up on the card and added a silver snowflake from the Northern Frost decorative strip die to the corner and a rhinestone that I colored with a red Sharpie marker. A very simple card! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Card Recipe: Stamps- Christmas Lodge; Paper- Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Whisper White, Silver glimmer, Frostwood Lodge designer paper; Ink- Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green; Accessories- Top Note die, Northern Frost decorative strip die, dimensionals
