CCMC Saturday Blog Hop: Watermelon Wonder

Hello everyone! Welcome to another Saturday blog hop! Today, the Create with Connie and Mary designers are featuring projects using Watermelon Wonder as the primary focus! I am your stop after the fabulous Debbie Henderson!

This week I made a treat bag using the Mini Treat Bag thinlits! And as you can see, my main color for this is Watermelon Wonder! This is very simple but so fun and bright and happy! The greeting is from the Cottage Greetings stamp set. I also used this stamp set to make a set of four cards for the Create with Connie and Mary mini edition! Did you see them?

  • The bag is made from two sheets of the Cherry on Top designer paper and the Mini Treat Bag thinlits
  • Score and adhere the two pieces together
  • Tie a piece of Watermelon Wonder dotted lace trim around the bag
  • Stamp the greeting from the Cottage Greetings stamp set using Momento ink
  • Punch a flower from Crushed Curry using the itty bitty accents punch pack and adhere to bag
  • Add a rhinestone to flower center
A very simple bag! Now I send you on to see what the awesome Connie Babbert has created for you! Don't forget to visit the Create with Connie and Mary site to find out how you can subscribe to the mini edition! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Cherry Cottage

Good morning everyone! It seems that I need to change the batteries in a certain smoke alarm. Yesterday morning it started but then ended after about an hour or so. I thought maybe it was a bug that had gotten in there. But then this morning it started again so I will be changing the batteries. I have to keep reminding myself that I have teacher training today. It just doesn't seem possible!! Back to work I go!

Today's card was inspired by one I saw in the catalog. I wish I had made the panel just a wee bit skinnier.

  • Card base is Soft Sky
  • Round the top left hand corner of a piece of Whisper White using the Project Life corner rounder
  • Adhere a strip of Cherry on Top washi tape
  • Flag both ends of a strip of Cherry on Top designer paper and adhere to panel
  • Stamp the greeting from Cottage Greetings onto the panel using Momento ink
  • Stamp the flower image using Momento ink and color in with Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush markers
  • Add a silver mini brad to flower center
  • Tie a piece of white baker's twine around the panel
  • Adhere panel to card with dimensionals
Super simple! Are you subscribed to the Create with Connie and Mary Mini Edition? I used the Cottage Greetings stamp set to create a set of four cards that can only be seen in this edition! The edition started Sunday but you are able to view it for a whole year! Be sure to sign up and see what the designers created just for this edition! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop: Metallica

Hello everyone! Welcome to another Saturday blog hop with the Create with Connie and Mary design team! This week we are featuring cards with a metallic theme! I am your stop right after the fabulous Debbie Henderson! She always is an inspiration!

Stampin' Up! has so many metallic products available and they are so much fun to use on a card! I love the touch of elegance! This is what I chose to do for this week's theme:

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Run a piece of Basic Black through the Big Shot using the Modern Mosaic embossing folder and adhere to card base using dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from Cottage Greetings onto the card base using Momento ink
  • Use the Triple Banner punch to punch both ends of a strip of Gold fancy foil designer velum and adhere to card
  • Use the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch to punch the shape from Whisper White card stock and use the Updated Essentials paper piercing pack to pierce two circles inside the shape then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Use the Butterfly thinlits to cut a butterfly from gold foil paper and adhere to card with glue dots on the butterfly body and bend the wings slightly
  • Add gold sequins from the Metallic Sequins assortment
It is really hard to see the Mosaic embossing but it is there and really adds to the elegance! Time to send you on to see what the talented Connie Babbert has to show you all! I know you will love it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Cottage Elegance

Good morning, Friends! It has been crazy hot around here! We are breaking all kinds of records. So glad that I can stay inside and work on projects! I didn't get as much done yesterday as I would have liked. Nick wanted me to shuttle he and his friend around. Then when we got home it seemed like it continued. Finally he got to go riding with a group of friends and he ended up spending the night with them! So the house is quiet.

Today's card shows off the beautiful Timeless Elegance designer paper! I was inspired by a card from the Stampin' Up! demonstrator magazine.

  • Card is Sahara Sand
  • Adhere a piece of Timeless Elegance designer paper onto a piece of Sahara Sand
  • Tie a piece of Sahara Sand lace trim around the panel and adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from Cottage Greetings onto the card base using Tuxedo black Momento ink
  • Stamp the flower image onto a piece of Very Vanilla using Tuxedo black Momento ink and color in with So Saffron, Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz markers then cut out and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Add pearls to card
So super easy when the designer paper does all the work! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!
