Wild Sheltering Tree

Hello everyone! So glad the week is half over! And today is a shorter work day! I get my toes painted this afternoon! Of course it is supposed to get really cold tonight. Geesh! So I'll have pretty toes but won't be able to show them off until the weekend. Oh well.

Today's card was another that I did with my stamp club ladies this month! A super simple card! I love the spring colors of this one!

  • Card base is Wild Wasabi
  • Stamp the background of the tree top using Wild Wasabi ink and the smooth side of the tree top stamp from the Sheltering Tree stamp set onto a piece of Whisper White
  • Turn over the tree top stamp and use the dots side to stamp the leaves using Garden Green
  • Stamp the tree trunk using Chocolate Chip ink
  • Stamp the grassy area using Wild Wasabi ink
  • Use the Project Life corner rounder to round the two left hand corners of the panel
  • Tie a piece of Wild Wasabi cotton twine from the Painted Blooms cotton twine pack around the panel and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting onto a strip of Soft Sky using Island Indigo ink and adhere to card
Have a great day, everyone! And thanks for stopping by!

The Stamp Review Crew: Sheltering Tree

Hello everyone! The Stamp Review Crew is here with another fabulous blog tour! This month we are featuring the Sheltering Tree stamp set! I am your stop after the very talented Dawn Tidd

I haven't stamped in a while and I forget how easy it is to use this wonderful stamp set! I love how easy it is to create beautiful cards with this set! I used the sketch at Freshly Made to help me create this. Super easy!!

  • The card base is Pistachio Pudding
  • On a piece of Whisper White card stock stamp the tree trunk from the Sheltering Tree stamp set using Baked Brown Sugar
  • The leaves were stamped with Pistachio Pudding and Garden Green inks
  • Stamp the grassy area with Pistachio Pudding and the grass blades using Garden Green inks and add the little flowers using Crisp Cantaloupe ink
  • I stamped a few "wisps" of sky using the grassy stamp using Soft Sky ink and stamping off once
  • Stamp the swing using Early Espresso ink
  • Adhere stamped panel to a piece of Baked Brown Sugar
  • Tie a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe thick baker's twine around panel and then adhere to card base using dimensionals
I didn't put a sentiment on this one yet. I am waiting to see who the receiver might be, first. Anyway, there you have it!

Now it's time to send you on to see what the fabulous Ann Schach has created! I hope you are inspired our creations! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

  • Cut another piece of Crumb Cake at 3 3/4" x 5"
  • Cut a piece of Mossy Meadow at 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" and run through the Big Shot using the Argyle embossing folder then adhere to Crumb Cake panel
  • Wrap a piece of linen thread around the panel three times and tie a knot
  • Stamp the sentiment from the Sheltering Tree stamp set onto the panel using Tuxedo black Momento ink
  • Adhere panel to card base using dimensionals
  • Cut two circles from Whisper White using the Circles framelits
  • On the smaller circle stamp the bicycle frame using Hello Honey ink then stamp the tire/seat/handle bars image using Tuxedo black Momento ink
  • Stamp the long grass image using Pistachio Pudding and the grass blades image using Mossy Meadow ink
  • On the larger circle using the Essentials Paper Piercing pack to pierce just inside the circle
  • Adhere the pierced circle to the card using dimensionals
