Happy Christmas Tree

Good morning everyone! Well, tomorrow is Christmas! Are you all ready? We will be doing part two of our Christmas with my parents today. Since my sister has to work we will be going down to her place to have dinner and do gifts. Then we will go to their Christmas Eve service and then drive home. I am sad that we won't get to spend as much time with them. My brother drives home tomorrow and we will be going home on Friday. Geesh! It all goes by so quickly!! So I will enjoy today!

Today's card is another easy Christmas card. I will have to remember some of these easy ones for next year so I can get them made! This is also a good one to mail as it doesn't have any embellishments! I like the simplicity of it, too! I ran a piece of Cherry Cobbler through the Big Shot with the Chevron embossing folder and then popped it up onto a card base of Cherry Cobbler. Then I used my Ovals Collection framelits dies to cut an oval from Whisper White. This is also popped up onto the card. I stamped the tree from Scentsational Season in Gumball Green onto a piece of Whisper White and cut it out using the Holiday Collection framelits dies and popped it up onto the oval. I punched a star from silver glimmer paper using the Merry Minis punch pack and adhered it to the top of the tree. I stamped the greeting from More Merry Messages in Cherry Cobbler onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged both ends. This is adhered to the tree. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Wonderful Cocoa

Good morning everyone! We are trying to send our son back to school this morning. He is still complaining of a sore throat but I think he will make it. I don't want him to get too far behind in his school work. Especially now! So here's hoping that his day goes well. I need to get some stamping and sewing done, too. I have kind of fallen behind myself.

Today's card is another that we did in stamp club this month. A super simple one. I stamped the steam for the cocoa from the Scentsational Season stamp set in Sahara Sand onto a piece of Whisper White and then layered this onto a piece of Early Espresso. Then I stamped the cup in Pool Party and cut it out using the Holiday Collection framelits dies. I colored in the cocoa part of the cup with the Early Espresso marker. This is popped up onto the panel. Then the panel is popped up onto the card. I took a strip of designer paper from the Festival of Prints pack and flagged one end. The other end was tucked behind the panel. Then I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Early Espresso. The last thing I did was to add a rhinestone to the snowflake. Hello everyone! It's time for another Thursday challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we have a sketch challenge! Take a look!

Such a fun sketch and I had a great time creating my card! I tried my very best to get away from the traditional Christmas colors and here is what I came up with!

I was still able to use the Festival of Prints and picked a fun print! So I started by adhering a piece of the Festival of Prints paper to a piece of Island Indigo and then tied a piece of Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon around this. This panel is then popped up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. I punched a 1 3/4" circle from Crumb Cake and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder. This is adhered to a 2 3/8" scallop circle of Cherry Cobbler. Then I used the Essential Paper Piercing pack and punched an outline around the Crumb Cake circle. This is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the image from Scentsational Season in Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla and used the Holiday framelits dies to cut it out. This is popped up onto the circle. I stamped the greeting from More Merry Messages in Early Espresso onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flagged the end. I tucked the other end behind the image. Then I added a heart that was punched from Cherry Cobbler with the Owl builder punch and a little rhinestone.

Cocoa Cheer

Good morning, Friends! Well, I am not ready to start another week. It was really hard for me to get up this morning and it is really hard for me to keep my eyes open while typing this. But I must go on - lol! Lots to do today. Still need to keep sewing and then there is the endless pile of laundry. At least the Broncos won yesterday! That was fun!!

Today's card was inspired by one I had saved on my Pinterest board. A super clean and simple layout. Love it! I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Essentials in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White. Then I stamped the steam from the Scentsational Season in Sahara Sand. I rounded the top right hand corner with the 1 1/4" circle punch and tied a piece of Raspberry Ripple stitched satin ribbon around it. I used the scallop edge border punch to punch a strip of Old Olive and then adhered it to the back of the Whisper White panel. This panel is then popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped the cup in Raspberry Ripple onto a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out by hand. This is popped up onto the card and a rhinestone was added to the middle of the snowflake. Seasoned Tree

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! It was kind of nice last night to just be able to come home and not have to hurry off to get somewhere. I did have a Christmas frame class but was very laid back. And the frame is just beautiful! I put it up next to our tree and it looks great! Thanks, Becky!! Tonight should be more of the same! Now to figure out what I should make for dinner...

Today's card was inspired by one I had saved on Pinterest. I had it saved for quite a while and needed some inspiration so I turned there. Loved how easily this came together! The scalloped edged was made by running a piece of the Festival of Prints designer paper through the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim die. This is is adhered to the back of a piece of Cherry Cobbler that had the bottom two corners rounded with the 1" circle punch. Then I wrapped a piece of Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon around this and then popped the panel up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. I stamped the greeting from Greetings of the Season in Cherry Cobbler onto a strip of Very Vanilla. This is adhered to the Cherry Cobbler panel. I stamped the tree from Scentsational Season in Gumball Green onto Very Vanilla and cut it out using the Holiday Collection framelits dies. This is popped up onto the card. Finally, I added a star that was punched with the merry minis punch pack from champagne glimmer paper. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

A Scentsational Tag

Good morning, Friends! The morning is off to a cold start around here! Wow!! I am glad to have my SmartWool socks on right now - lol! It should warm up nicely but you can tell that the seasons are changing! I am getting ready to have a stitching day today and I am so excited! A friend opened a new wool store and she will be providing classes and product! I wanted to go last month but I got the shingles and couldn't make it. Next month I will be making a pair of slippers! I can't wait! Tonight Pat and I will double date with some friends that we haven't seen in a while and Nick is off to a friend's to spend the night. Great weekend!!

Today's card is one that I sort of copied from a recent PaperCrafts magazine. The part that I copied is the tag. I just switched the product line and turned it into a card. I thought it turned out pretty cute! I cut a banner shape from Early Espresso. For the top part of the tag, I used the Apothecary Accents framelits and cut the shape out from Very Vanilla. This is folded in half lengthwise and put over the top of the tag. Then I punched and 3/4" circle from Lucky Limeade and adhered that to the tag. I used my crop-a-dile to punch a hole for my Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon. Then the tag is popped up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. I adhered a 2 1/2" circle that was punched from Very Vanilla to a scallop circle of Lucky Limeade that was cut using the Perfect Pennants die. This is then popped up onto the card. Then I cut the tree using the Holiday framelits from Cherry Cobbler and a piece of designer paper from the Festival of Prints. Using various sizes of hole punches, I punched holes into the green tree. Then I used glue dots to adhere it to the Cherry Cobbler tree. The tree is then popped up onto the card. Woo Hoo!! I Am Back Up!!

Hello everyone!!!! I am SO super excited to have my computer back! Yes, I did lose everything - major bummer - but sometimes it's nice to wipe the slate clean and start over. So that is how I am choosing to look at it - a clean slate! Lol! I mean, what else is there to do? I have learned my lesson and will now be backing up everything! While my computer was away, I did stamp quite a bit. I used various challenges and sketches and of course they have all been closed. But I am still excited to show all the cards that I have been working on! Ahhh!! It is just nice to be back and blogging once again!

Today's card is one that I did with my stamp club this past Monday. This is a super simple card but I didn't think it needed too much more - lol! I stamped the candy cane image from Scentsational Season and the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Cherry Cobbler onto a panel of Whisper White. Then I used the Paper Piercing Essentials pack to pierce a line under the greeting. I used the 1 3/8" circe punch to round the corner. This panel is popped up onto the card base of Whisper White. Then I stamped the candy cane image again in Cherry Cobbler onto a piece of Whisper White. This time I cut it out with the Holiday Collection framelits dies. This is popped up onto the card. Good Sunday morning everyone! I must have really over done it yesterday. My day ended with a lot of pain in my head. So I called it a day early and went to bed. This morning I don't feel great either. My husband thought that this might come and go. Gee, I was just hoping it would go!! Lol! So today I had better just take it easy and watch some football with a few naps in between. That doesn't sound like a bad day!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at iSpy. Such an easy sketch! I love it! I stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler onto a piece of Very Vanilla and rounded the top corner with my 1 1/4" circle punch. Then I adhered this to a piece of Cherry Cobbler and popped up the panel onto a card base of Gumball Green. Then I stamped the tree from Scentsational Season in Gumball Green onto a piece of Very Vanilla and cut it out using the Holiday Collection framelits dies. This is popped up onto the card. Then I used the Holiday Collection framelits dies to cut the star from the bronze glimmer paper and that is adhered to the card. Very simple!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Friday morning, Friends! I hope that your week has been great and that you are ready for a super weekend! The Sketch Frenzy Friday team has made some great changes and we are excited to bring them to you all this week! Before I tell you about them let's look at the great sketch that was created by Maria Vanerform!

A wonderful clean sketch! And I needed that with my shingles and all! Something I didn't need to think too much about. So here is my card...

I got some new toys the other day and they have had to sit on my desk because I am just unable to do a whole lot right now. I was tired of being in bed all day and I wanted to play with my toys. So to my craft room I went! I stamped the little gingerbread dudes from the Scentsational Season set three times on Very Vanilla and then cut them out with the Holiday Collection framelits dies. The two outer dudes are adhered to a piece of Crumb Cake and the middle one is popped up. This panel is adhered to a piece of Early Espresso. I wrapped a piece of Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon around a piece of Crumb Cake and then adhered this to a card base of Cherry Cobbler. I popped up the panel of gingerbread dudes onto the card. Then I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Early Espresso. Finally I added a hear that was punched from Cherry Cobbler using the owl builder punch and added a rhinestone.
