CPS 285

Good morning, Friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! We are in Denver for the last of our soccer games for the season. And as a bonus, my parents decided to drive up and meet us to watch Nick! It has been so fun to be able to visit and catch up! And Nick is excited to be able to have someone else watch him play besides his parents - lol! Today we play the number one team in our division. I just hope all the boys play their very best! Good luck Fire FC!!

Today's card is one that I made quite a while ago. It comes from the CPS blog. They have decided to end their sketches and that makes me sad as I have gotten a lot of great ideas from them. But they are moving on to other things and for that I wish them luck! This sketch is actually from last month but I thought it looks fun! I adhered squares of Orchard Harvest designer paper to a piece of Early Espresso which is then adhered to a card base of Crumb Cake. I used the Autumn Accents die to cut out two leaves from Very Vanilla and then inked up the coordinating leaf stamp from Wonderfall in Cajun Craze and then Lucky Limeade. I laid the leaf on top of the stamp and rubbed it to get the image onto the cut leaf. The leaves are popped up onto the card. I stamped the greeting from Made for You onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flagged one end before adhering it to the card. Finally, I added a bronze button with some linen thread tied though it. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 214

Good morning everyone! Time for another challenge from the ladies at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with color. Take a look!

Midnight Muse, Daffodil Delight and Gumball Green are the colors we are to work with. Love these colors!! The new Midnight Muse is such a beautiful color to work with! I used a sketch from CPS to help me put this card together. Fun!!

Another very easy card! I wrapped a piece of Midnight Muse stitched satin ribbon around a piece of Midnight Muse card stock and popped it up onto a card base of Midnight Muse. Then I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Midnight Muse onto Whisper White and punched it out with the 1 1/4" circle punch. This is adhered to a circle of Daffodil Delight that was punched with the 1 3/8" circle punch. This is popped up onto a scallop circle that was punched from Gumball Green. Then I popped it up onto the card. I took a piece of Daffodil Delight to the Big Shot and used the Beautiful Wings embosslit to cut some butterflies. These are adhered to the card. Then I added some rhinestones to complete the card!

Find more inspiration from the other designers at Create with Connie and Mary! I hope that you will be able to play along with us this week! We always love to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CPS 265

Good morning, Friends! I know it has been quite a while since I posted but my family was visiting and I wanted to spend as much time as possible with them and not have to worry about stamping and/or blogging. I did hold to my commitment with my design teams but I had worked ahead with those that it didn't interfere. Anyway, my parents left for home yesterday and I tried to get into some kind of routine. I have a ton of laundry to get done so I started there. I did try to stamp a little yesterday, too. And I worked on my quilt. Today, I still have a ton of laundry to do and I have a massage this morning - ahhh!! Of course, Nick has a social life and wants all of his friends to come over. Hmm... We will have to see what gets done. He also has practice tonight. Did I mention that we have a lot of baseball going on, too?

Today's card is one that I actually made quite a while ago. I totally forgot all about it! I used the sketch from CPS to inspire me. Very clean and simple. I took two strips of designer paper from the Summer Smooches pack and another strip of Basic Gray from the Neutrals pack and flagged one end. I adhered these to a piece of Basic Gray panel. I rounded the bottom right hand corner of the Basic Gray panel with the 1" circle punch and added two silver brads. This is popped up onto a Basic Gray card base that has the lower right hand corner rounded as well. Then I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Basic Gray and adhered it to the front of my card. I added a Basic Gray button with some white baker's twine. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CPS 263

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! Nick is counting the days till school gets out! And it won't be long now!! Tonight he gets to play in his first baseball game. He has had to miss so much because of soccer. But now that the soccer season is over (except for one more tournament), he can focus more on baseball. I am so thankful for his coaches and their patience. I know that can't be easy.

Today's card was inspired by an older sketch at CPS. It is very simple and not much stamping. This sketch is a super great way to show off some designer paper and since I have a lot of it (and most of it is retiring), this is perfect! I took a piece of Whisper White and cut three panels of designer paper from the Flirtatious pack. The two outside panels got the corners rounded and then all three were adhered to the Whisper White panel. I wrapped a piece of the Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon around it and then popped it up onto a card base of Elegant Eggplant. Then I took a piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot with the Lots of Tags sizzlets. I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Elegant Eggplant and popped this up over the ribbon. I punched a flower from Elegant Eggplant with the itty bitty shapes punch pack and added a rhinestone. Super simple!!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week got off to a great start! After a day off yesterday it is back to the routine around here. This week we get to add soccer practices to our schedule as the soccer team prepares for a tournament in Phoenix in a few weeks!

Today's card was inspired by a sketch from CPS. This sketch was from a few weeks ago but I loved the simplicity of it and wanted to give it a try. Having Valentine's Day on the brain, here is what I came up with. My card base is Whisper White that I ran through the Big Shot with the edgelits embossing folder. I rounded the bottom corners with the corner rounder and attached a strip of Riding Hood Red. On scrap Whisper White I stamped two hearts from I {Heart} Hearts in Blushing Bride and Riding Hood Red and cut them out. On a piece of Blushing Bride I stamped the greeting from Grateful Greetings in Basic Grey and then attached the Blushing Bride heart to that before popping that piece up on the card. Then I popped up the Riding Hood Red heart over the that. I punched a flower from Blushing Bride using the itty bitty shapes punch pack and added a rhinestone. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
