Mojo 380

Good morning everyone! Whew!! My routine is a little skewed since my family is out of town. At least I was able to get this cute Valentine card done to show you all! It is my birthday today and it's FRIDAY!! It will be a great day!

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Mojo Monday. I don't know why I reached for this set when I was trying really hard to create a super easy card... But I like the way this turned out!

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Stamp the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge onto the card base using Crumb Cake ink
  • Adhere a piece of Real Red card stock to the card base
  • Stamp the lumberjack image from Wood You Be Mine onto a piece of Whisper White using Tuxedo black Momento ink
  • Stamp his shirt using Real Red ink then color the rest of the lumberjack using Blendabilities: Crumb Cake, Soft Sky, Smoky Slate and skin tones
  • Adhere stamped panel to the card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the saw onto a piece of Whisper White using Tuxedo Black Momento ink and color with Blendabilities: Smoky Slate and Crumb Cake then stamp the sentiment onto the blade using Tuxedo black Momento ink
  • Cut the saw out and adhere to card
  • Punch a heart from Real Red card stock using the itty bitty accents punch pack and adhere to card
  • Add a Soft Sky candy dot to heart

Wooden Valentine

Good morning everyone! We are back to it! It was nice to see everyone at school again and get back into the routine! I could have used a nap about half way through the afternoon yesterday, but I persevered! I did go to bed much earlier last night and while I am still tired, I am feeling much better! Now I really hope that I don't get sick! Lots of kiddos coughing. Yuck! It's a shorter day today and I hope to get home and have enough energy to do the things that I need to get done before the weekend!

Today's card was inspired by an older sketch from somewhere. I was glad to use this lumberjack dude again.

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • On another piece of Crumb Cake stamp the two-step trees image from Wood You Be Mine twice using Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi
  • Toward the bottom of the panel, stamp the saw blade using Crumb Cake then adhere the panel to a piece of Basic Black card stock
  • Stamp the lumberjack onto a piece of Whisper White using Tuxedo black Momento ink and his shirt using Smoky Slate ink then color the rest using Blendabilities: Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate and skin tones
  • Cut the lumberjack out and adhere to panel with dimensionals
  • Stamp the hearts using Real Red ink three times without re-inking
  • Adhere panel to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the sentiment onto a strip of Crumb Cake using Tuxedo black Momento ink and flag the end then adhere to the panel
  • Stamp the wood image onto a piece of Crumb Cake using Tuxedo black Momento ink and color using Crumb Cake and Real Red markers then cut out and adhere to card
Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Lumberjack Love

Good morning everyone! We are having a snowy start to our day here in Kansas! I miss seeing the white stuff! And I am glad that I don't have to travel in it! It did look like Thursday would be the best day to travel but we will keep watching. I think we are ready to go home. ;)

Today's card is another valentine card. I won this lumberjack set from Stampin' Up! during the Occasions and SAB premier. I told my friend Emily that the only way I would every get this set would be to win it and guess what! So I guess it was meant to be! I do like him but I just need to spend more time thinking about what to do with him - lol!

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Use the Large Scallop border edgelit to scallop the edge of a piece of Night of Navy card stock
  • Stamp the Woodgrain background stamp onto a piece of Crumb Cake using Crumb Cake ink and then adhere to the Night of Navy panel then adhere panel to card base with dimensionals
  • Stamp the lumberjack from Wood You Be Mine set onto Whisper White using Tuxedo black Momento ink then stamp his shirt using Crumb Cake ink
  • Color the lumberjack in using Blendabilities: Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate and the skin tones
  • Carefully cut out the lumberjack and adhere him to the card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting onto a strip of Crumb Cake using Night of Navy ink and flag the end then adhere to card
  • Add two Night of Navy candy dots to the card
A fun masculine valentine! I do like this set and look forward to seeing more ideas! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
