Good morning, Friends! Time for another great sketch challenge at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Kim Innis! And what a fun sketch it is!
These banners sure seem to be all the rage right now! And I do love using them, too!! They add a really fun element to card making! So this is how I interpreted it.
I took a piece of Whisper White and added three strips of designer paper from the Pocketful of Posies pack. I took a piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot with the Lots of Tags sizzlets. This is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the leaves/stems from Flower Fest onto Lucky Limeade in Lucky Limeade ink and the flower onto Rich Razzleberry in Rich Razzleberry twice. I cut out the leaves/stems, one whole flower and then just the middle of the second. I put a flower brad in the flower center and popped this up onto the flower. I arranged the leaves/stems and the flower onto the tag and glued them down. I wrapped a piece of Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon around this and stamped the greeting from A Word For You in Rich Razzleberry. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Whisper White.

Good (early) morning, Friends! Didn't sleep well so I am up early. Ugh! But I guess that is good practice for the upcoming school year - lol! Nick got registered yesterday and I think he is becoming more excited about the school year starting! He found out that he has many of the same classes as one of his soccer teammates and we toured the school for just a bit to see where his classes were. I think that he is going to like having different teachers for different subjects. And his schedule really looks GREAT! All of his favorite classes are in the afternoon! What a way to end your day!
Today's card is one that I made quite a while ago. It is a really simple card but I just love these colors together! And I have to get in a few more that have stamps from the Summer mini as it will expire at the end of this month. I love the sayings in Happy Greetings. I will miss them! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I just can not believe that my son only has four more days of school! He is so excited! My parents and my brother will be visiting over the holiday and they should get here on his last day of school so he really can't wait!! We have just had such a busy weekend with the soccer tournament (which they did o.k. with) and then baseball in the evenings. We really felt like we didn't get a weekend. But it was so much fun! And, thankfully, Saturday and Sunday were the nicest days that we had all week! I got a pretty good sunburn! So now it's time to make sure the house is "livable" - lol! But not before I go and get a pedicure!!
Today's card was inspired by the layout at Clean & Simple - FTL 141. A great layout and one that will be used time and again. I used the Flower Fest stamp set and cut out the different layers of the flower. The scallop punch will punch out the flower but I liked the look of it being cut out instead. The layers of the flower are popped up to add a little dimension. Not a new idea but the first for me! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Thursday morning! Time for another great challenge from Create with Connie and Mary! This week Connie and Mary are challenging us with colors! Take a look at these pretty spring-like colors!
And here is my creation!

I love these colors! I pulled out some new stamps to use with this challenge. I got out my Flower Fest and Happy Greetings sets. I started with a card base of card base of textured Wild Wasabi. Then I cut a piece of So Saffron and rounded opposite corners. Then I ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder. Then I took a sponge dauber and So Saffron ink and rubbed the ink right over the embossed image. Then I cut a circle using my 3" circle die from Whisper White and stamped the greeting from Happy Greetings in Perfect Plum and then pierced right underneath the greeting. I took some scrap Whisper White and stamped the leaves and flower from Flower Fest in So Saffron and Wild Wasabi. The middle of the flower was stamped with the same flower only in Perfect Plum. To color these, I took a sponge dauber and used the same color ink pads to lightly sponge ink on the images. I really love this look! Then I cut them out. The So Saffron piece is glued down flat. The circle is popped up with the leaves glued flat to the circle. The So Saffron flower is popped up. The Perfect Plum flower center has a brad put in and popped up as well.
So now you get to see what the other designers have come up with. So go check them out at the Create with Connie and Mary site! Then make your creation and upload it to their site so we can all see! Remember to use all Stampin' Up! products to be entered into a drawing for a free subscription to Create Summer. They will be drawing the final winner soon!! I can't wait to see what you do with these colors!
