CCMC 203

It's the LAST day of school!!! Boy is my son super excited!!! And so am I - lol! It will be so nice to have some time to not have so many scheduled activities! We will still have a few but not as many. Today is also another challenge from the ladies at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with a sketch. Take a look!

And my card...

I wanted to focus on some retiring products so I puled out some retiring stamps. I stamped the Medallion background stamp on Crumb Cake card stock in Crumb Cake ink. Then I stamped it again on a tag that I made from Very Vanilla card stock. I stamped it off before I stamped it on the tag to make it lighter. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. I adhered a strip of Chocolate Chip card stock to the card. To the tag I added a piece of the Chocolate Chip scallop dots ribbon with a 5/16" Chocolate Chip brad. I stamped the greeting from Thank You Kindly on a strip of Very Vanilla and flagged both ends. This is attached to the tag and the tag is popped up on the card. Very monochromatic and simple!!

Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see what the other fabulous designers did with this sketch! Be sure to upload your creation to the site so that we can all see what you did! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Good morning everyone! And Merry Christmas to you all! I didn't get Christmas cards sent out this year so this is my card to everyone. Maybe next year - lol! I pray that you all find peace this coming year. And God bless you all! Thank you so much for visiting and reading my blog and leaving comments. They have all meant so much to me! Have a wonderful day!

For my card, I started with a card base of Concord Crush (haven't used this color in quite a while). Then I adhered a piece of Very Vanilla. Then I cut another piece of Concord Crush and stamped the Medallion stamp on it with VersaMark. I put clear embossing powder on it and embossed it. Then I cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and cut a circle  using the circles #2 die and stamped the word 'peace' from Four the Holidays stamp set in Concord Crush. Then I used the Movers and Shapers/Holiday Windows die to cut the dove from the beautiful silver glimmer paper. I popped this up onto the card and added a few random rhinestones. I thought this would be perfect for my final Christmas card of the season! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Christmas!!!

CCMC 155

Hello everyone! Are you ready for another great Thursday challenge from Create with Connie and Mary? This week we are being challenge with a sketch. Take a look:

And here is what I finally came up with:

As you can see, I altered the sketch just a bit. But it is all still there! I used the Medallion stamp in place of the half top note shape in the sketch. And I used a tag in place of the circle focal point. I did keep the wide striped ribbon. I love that stuff!! Anyway, I stamped the Medallion in Basic Black on Very Vanilla cardstock and mounted that onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock. I wrapped a piece of Basic Black striped ribbon around this and used some Very Vanilla narrow taffeta ribbon to tie a black button on one end. This panel gets popped up onto the Very Vanilla card. Then I took some Basic Black cardstock and die cut a tag from Lots of Tags sizzlet. I stamped the greeting from the Happy Greetings set on Very Vanilla cardstock in Basic Black ink and punched it out with the wide oval punch and glued it to the center of the tag. The tag is then popped up on the card. And that's it! Super simple! The hardest part was cleaning off my Medallion stamp - lol!

Now it's your turn! Go to the Create with Connie and Mary website and see what the other designers came up with. They always have such wonderful ideas and ways to interpret the sketch! Then create your own project using the sketch and upload it to their site so we can all see! I just love seeing what you all come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
