Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going great! This morning is starting of really cold! In fact we were under a freeze warning most of the night. It is supposed to warm up now and start acting like spring - lol! Yesterday's track meet was actually nice! The sun was out and it wasn't as cold as I thought it might be. The breeze got a little chilly but not bad. And Nick didn't do too bad either! I can't believe that next week is the District Finals! This track season went by really fast!! I was able to get a lot of sewing done yesterday! I am quilting a quilt and I am determined to get it done soon! It really looks pretty good for a first time! I am so excited to see it done!
Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Nacho Average Challenge. I was inspired because it was so unique! While the card looks clean and simple, it was quite a chore to cut all those little pieces! Three of the glasses are cut out and all of the glass insides were cut out as well. The stamp set used was Happy Hour. The card base is Whisper White and a strip of Twitterpated designer paper was flagged at the bottom and adhered to it. All the glasses were stamped in Basic Grey - three on scrap Whisper White and two on the card base. I stamped the glasses again in Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry and cut the insides out to adhere to the glasses. The three cut glasses are popped up and the sentiment is stamped in Basic Grey. I added some rhinestones for some bubbly sparkle :) Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope you are ready for a great weekend!! Looks like it will be a nice one around here! In a little while I will be heading out to an open house of a new little wool store in town! Our wool teacher has decided to open her own studio and sell her own designs (along with others) and she will be selling other items that one needs when stitching! I am so excited!! Then after I do a little shopping, Nick has a soccer game! We weren't going to let him play because of his foot but he has made a remarkable recovery so we decided that he has to talk to his coach and together they can decide. He says he feels perfectly fine. Now I just tease him because he had to put us through all that drama for just a 24 hour injury. Geesh!!
Today's card was inspired by the Nacho Average Challenge. It's a great sketch this week and I knew it was perfect for my Googly Ghouls! So I took a piece of the Pumpkin Pie designer paper from the Polka Dot Parade pack and flagged one end. To the back I added two strips of Lucky Limeade that had gone through the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim die. This panel is adhered to a Basic Black card base. Then I stamped the mummy in black StazOn onto Whisper White and cut him out. He is popped up onto a tag from the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit and that is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the 'boooo' in black StazOn onto a strip of Pumpkin Pie and flagged both ends. I also popped this up onto the card. Finally, I added my gogglies! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Good morning, Friends! Are you all ready for a great weekend? We have a soccer game later this morning and then the rest of the day is free!!! Whatever will we do? Well, there is a lot that needs to get done around here - lol! So it will be nice to be at home. I hope to get some more sewing done. But no special plans for us today. Here's hoping that the boys win their soccer game today!! Woohoo!!
Today's card was inspired by the color challenge at Nacho Average Challenge. The colors are Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso and Raspberry Ripple. I used Crumb Cake for my neutral and I have to say that I do love the way this one turned out! This stamp set, Evergreen, is one I had to have right away but hadn't gotten it out yet, so I decided to ink it up using these colors. This might be a contender for my Christmas cards this year! I stamped the solid part of the tree in Wild Wasabi - I stamped off lightly before stamping it onto the Crumb Cake panel. Then I stamped the words in Early Espresso. You may not be able to read the words but they are the words from Silent Night. Then I stamped the detail part of the tree in Wild Wasabi without stamping off. I did use my stamp-a-ma-jig to get everything straight. Then I sponged around the edges in Crumb Cake. This panel is adhered to a piece of Early Espresso and I added two strips of Wild Wasabi that had the ends flagged. I popped this up onto a piece of Raspberry Ripple that had gone through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan embossing folder. And all of this is adhered to a card base of Crumb Cake. Finally I added a rhinestone to the top of the tree. Great colors together!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning everyone! Seems to be a busy week for us so far. I can't believe that we are nearing the end of August! Wow!! Nick is looking forward to a long weekend this weekend! I think we all are!! No special plans for us, but it will be nice to just relax at home and try to get some things done around here. I hope your week is going well and that you are able to find some time to create! That is on my schedule for today!
Today's card comes from the latest challenge at Nacho Average Challenge. This week they have a sketch challenge. I really liked how clean and simple it was so I was excited to play along! I took a strip of Very Vanilla and ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder and adhered it to the card base of Very Vanilla. Then I stamped the flower stem from Summer Silhouettes in Lucky Limeade and the flower top in Raspberry Ripple. I used my paper piercing essentials pack to help me pierce a circle around the flower. Then I tied a piece of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon around this before popping this panel up onto the card. Then I stamped the greeting from Made for You in Raspberry Ripple and attached it to the card. My final touch was to add a rhinestone to the flower (kind of hard to see). Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning everyone! Another week that seems to be flying by! Today is the day!! Today is the day that I go register Nick for 7th grade! That is crazy!! Yeah, he isn't really looking forward to it but I think once we get there and he sees his friends he will be excited. I am going to take him out for breakfast and then we are going to do some school shopping. And that should help get him in the mood, too! We have been enjoying the Olympic games! In fact, they tend to keep us up too late - lol! Only a few more weeks to sleep in and then it's school time!!
Today's card was inspired from a fairly new challenge site. I wanted to play along with them but with us being gone and not having the internet I missed out. I still wanted to show you all the card and tell you about the challenges. The site is Nacho Average Challenge. This week they have a fun color challenge. Be sure to check it out! Like I said, this sketch was from last week. A super fun and simple sketch! I took three of the designer papers from the Polka Dot Parade pack and flagged each end. Then I adhered them to a piece of Whisper White and tied a piece of Whisper White taffeta ribbon around it. I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Marina Mist and popped this panel up onto a card base of Whisper White. This I punched a flower with the itty bitty punch pack in Real Red and added a rhinestone. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
