CCMC Saturday Blog Hop: Keep It Simple Fall Card

Hello everyone! Welcome to another Saturday blog hop with the Create with Connie and Mary designers! This week we are featuring more great Fall projects but keeping it simple. I am your stop after the fabulous Debbie Henderson

When I first saw the assignment for this week's hop I was instantly excited! I love simplicity and I love projects that are very simple and yet make a statement! But then I stressed myself out because I thought I would be making it too simple. So I calmed myself down and remembered that "simple" is what I do best and I didn't need to stress out. And then this happened...

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Use the splotchy image from Perpetual Calendar stamp set and stamp onto the card base with Crumb Cake ink
  • Cut the leaf image from Crumb Cake card stock using the Leaflets framelits and sponge the edges with Crumb Cake ink
  • Stamp the sentiment from For All Things stamp set onto the leaf using Early Espresso ink
  • Adhere leaf to card with dimensionals
  • Thread a piece of linen thread through a gold basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to card
Before I send you on, I want to give you a sneak peek of what's to come in the October Create with Connie and Mary mini edition! Lots of very fun projects for the fall and Christmas season! Check it out!

I hope you will plan to join us for this month's edition! Time to send you on to see what the fabulous Connie Babbert has created! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super day!

Freshly Made 159

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! I had a great few days off work!! My friend Becky and I went to see our friend Sherry on the eastern slope and boy did we make a weekend!! Lots of laughing and shopping and more shopping and stitching! We really didn't want to come back on Sunday - lol! But we did and it was back to work yesterday. It was good to get back to work as I need to build my bank account back up - lol! I hope to get caught up on some stamping this week.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch from Freshly Made. And, yes, it has expired but I thought it made for a quick and easy card and that's what I needed!

  • Card base is Mossy Meadow
  • Use the spiral border punch to punch the edge of a piece of Crumb Cake
  • Stamp the leaf image from For All Things using Crumb Cake ink onto the Crumb Cake panel then stamp the greeting using Mossy Meadow ink
  • Adhere panel to card base with dimensionals
  • Stamp the leaf image onto a piece of Crumb Cake using Blackberry Bliss ink and cut out
  • Adhere leaf to card with dimensionals
  • Adhere a wooden leaf to card base with glue dots
  • Tie a piece of linen thread around a wooden acorn and adhere to card
We are on week 3 of the Holiday Edition at Create with Connie and Mary! I hope you are not missing out on all the fun! Wooden Leaves

Hello everyone! I hope you have been having a super week! We are off for some retail therapy! Woohoo! Sounds like my family back home is having a great time as well!

For today's card I wanted to do a fall card and I am trying to use more of my washi tape. I don't want the season to go by and have full rolls of washi tape - lol!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Adhere three pieces the Color Me Autumn washi tape to a piece of Whisper White and then adhere to card base using dimensionals
  • Stamp the background image from For All Things using Crushed Curry ink onto a piece of Whisper White
  • Stamp the greeting using Blackberry Bliss and then adhere the panel to the card with dimensionals
  • Adhere two of the wooden leaves together and then adhere to card (I used glue dots)
  • Tie a bow using a double strand of linen thread and adhere to the stems of the leaves
Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 322

Hello everyone! It's time for the Thursday challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we have a color challenge! Take a look!

Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry and Basic Black. Great colors for a Halloween card but I really don't have any Halloween stamps! Yikes!! That is scary - lol! I finally did order a set but this is what I came up with instead. Take a look!

Last weekend we were in Leadville and the drive up was spectacular! The aspens were turning beautiful shades of gold, yellow, orange and red. It was stunning!! So even though I made this card before that drive, I am reminded of those beautiful aspens when I look at this card.

  • Card base is Crushed Curry
  • Adhere a piece of Tangerine Tango to the card base
  • On a piece of Whisper White stamp the background stamp from For All Things using Crushed Curry ink then stamp the sentiment on top using Tuxedo Black Momento ink
  • Adhere Whisper White piece to a piece of Basic Black and tie a piece of Crushed Curry chevron ribbon around the panel and then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the leaf image onto Whisper White using Tangerine Tango ink and cut out
  • Adhere leaf to the knot on the ribbon and anchor to card with a dimensional
  • Thread a piece of linen thread through a gold basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to leaf
Be sure to see all the wonderful creations at Create with Connie and Mary! The design team came up with some really fantastic creations!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC Holiday Card "Create"tions Blog Hop Week 1

Hello everyone! The Create with Connie and Mary Cards "Create"tions has come to the end of week 1. We are doing a blog hop at the end of each week to close the week out and give everyone a sneak peek of the set that we used during the week. You may have just come from Debbie's blog. She always has a beautiful project to inspire us all! For the end of week 1 we are showing you ways to use the Take-Out Boxes that are in the Holiday mini catalog. Here's what I did with mine!

I decided to cover my Take-Out Box with the Color me Autumn designer paper. I put adhesive all over my Take-Out Box and then adhered a sheet of designer paper to it. I cut off the excess designer paper. I folded on the score lines and cut on the lines that were cut (you can see these lines on the other side of the box). After the box was put together, I tied a piece of Blackberry Bliss stitched satin ribbon around the box. Then I made the tag:

  • I cut a piece of Whisper White at 2 1/2" x 3 1/2"
  • I cut the corners at an angle and flagged the bottom
  • Stamp the leaf image from For All Things onto the tag using Crushed Curry ink and then stamp the acorns onto the tag using Soft Suede ink
  • Punch a hole into the tag and tie it to the box using a piece of linen thread
  • Stamp the leaf image onto Whisper White using Cajun Craze ink and again using Mossy Meadow ink
  • Cut out the leaves and adhere to tag with dimensionals
  • Tie a piece of linen thread through a gold basic metal button and adhere to leaves
Have you signed up for the Cards "Create"tions edition? Don't delay! You won't be sorry! You can sign up today and still receive all the tutorials for the projects that have been shared! Visit Create with Connie and Mary to subscribe!

Now it's time to send you to Connie's blog! I know you will be inspired by her creation! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

I did a little wreck and tore up my leg pretty good but I can still walk fine and I can still ride! Just some cuts and bruises but time will heal that up. CCMC Preview Week Day 2: Hello Fall

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a fabulous start! It's my husband's birthday today! Yesterday our good friend Becky made a fabulous dinner of chicken and noodles and then an awesome dessert of homemade chocolate cake (Pat's favorite) and graham cracker ice cream! YUM!!! I am still so full from all that wonderful food! Tonight we will eat out somewhere of Pat's choosing. The weather is feeling fall-ish. But it is supposed to warm up later this week. I'm loving the cloudy rainy weather as we just don't get it that often around here.

Today's card was a copy of a card from the Stampin' Success magazine. I did change the card base color but that is all. Such a pretty and very simple card!

  • Card base is Sahara Sand
  • Stamp the background image from For All Things in Sahara Sand onto the card base
  • Stamp the leafy stem image onto the background image using Blackberry Bliss ink
  • Add two strips of the Color Me Autumn washi tape
  • Ink up just the 'hello' on the greeting stamp and stamp that onto the card base using Crushed Curry ink
  • Stamp the splotches from Gorgeous Grunge onto the card base using Sahara Sand
  • Thread a piece of linen thread through a gold basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to card

CCMC Preview Week: For All Things

Good morning, Friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! We did! But it sure did seem short. Now it's time to finish off this last week of August and head towards fall. I can't believe that we have been in school for almost a month already! Time is sure flying! Nick was supposed to have a soccer game in Glenwood Springs on Saturday. The team met at the high school and drove up. Pat and I (and many other parents I'm sure) drove up later. As we were about 1/2 hour away, Nick calls and says that it had been cancelled. Ugh! It had been raining pretty hard so I guess I'm not too surprised. So we turned around and headed home. The day was nice and cool and rainy and I got a TON of stamping done! Still have lots more to do but I feel like I'm a little more caught up!

Today's card uses some new product from the upcoming Holiday mini. It's Preview Week at Create with Connie and Mary! We are getting ready to launch the Holiday Cards "Create"tions 2014!!
