Golden New Year

Good morning, Friends! I know it's not the New Year, yet but tomorrow is the Create with Connie and Mary challenge so I thought I would show you my New Year's card today! And we will be leaving tomorrow. I am going to miss the Rose parade. I think that is my favorite parade! I love seeing the creativity of using all organic materials to make such awesome creations! Oh well. It will be nice to get home and get the house in order.

So today's card is the fourth card that I did with my stamp club this month. Another super simple card that was fun to put together. I thought this card could be used for a lot of other occasions as well.

  • Card base is Very Vanilla
  • Stamp the speckles from Gorgeous Grunge onto the card base using gold Encore ink
  • Cut a piece of Very Vanilla and a piece of gold foil designer vellum using the Banners framelits then adhere them together
  • Tie a piece of gold taffeta ribbon around the banners then adhere to the card using dimensionals
  • Fold a string of sequins in half and adhere to banner
  • Stamp the sentiment from Good Greetings onto a strip of Very Vanilla using VersaMark and emboss using gold emboss powder
  • Flag the end of the strip and adhere to card
I hope you all have a fantastic ending to your 2014 year! Be safe! Thanks for stopping by! See you next year!

  • Adhere circle to card
  • Adhere two strips of Mossy Meadow to the card
  • Stamp the pumpkin from Fall Fest onto a piece of Whisper White using Tangelo Twist and Mossy Meadow and cut out with the Fun Fall framelits then adhere to the card with dimensionals

Ferny Pumpkins

Good morning, Friends! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! It was gorgeous around here! Looks like it will be pretty nice around here for the next few days. I am happy to not be a part of that Polar Vortex! Looks like two full weeks of work and then we get our Thanksgiving break! Woohoo!! I can do this!

Today's card is a fall one. I just love the pumpkins and leaves in this set! So I made a simple fall card.

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • On another piece of Whisper White, stamp the ferny leaves image from Fall Fest using Mossy Meadow - some were stamped without reinking
  • Stamp the pumpkins onto another piece of Whisper White using Tangelo Twist and Mossy Meadow inks and cut out using the Fun Fall framelits
  • Adhere pumpkins together then adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from Good Greetings using Early Espresso ink
  • Use the Project Life corner rounder to round the top right hand corner
  • Adhere panel to card with dimensionals
  • Thread a piece of silver baker's twine through a basic metal button and tie and bow then adhere to card
Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Peace & Joy Snowflake

Good morning, Friends! Getting up this morning wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I am so glad for that! Maybe getting back into the routine won't be as hard as I had thought. Looks to be a busy day as I have stamp club tonight! Looking forward to seeing the ladies!

Today's card is a super simple one. And not much stamping!

  • Card base is Whisper White
  • Use the circle framelits to cut two circles from Whisper White
  • On the larger circle use the Essentials paper piercing pack to pierce an outline then adhere the smaller circle to the larger one with dimensionals
  • Adhere both circles to the card with dimensionals
  • Stamp the greeting from Good Greetings using Smoky Slate ink
  • Cut two snowflakes using the die from the Snowflakes card thinlits out of Whisper White and adhere them together in the middle with a glue dot then adhere to circles with a glue dot in the middle
  • Tie a piece of white baker's twine through a basic metal button and adhere to snowflake centers
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Should be a fast week as it looks to be busy! I like it when that happens! Nick had a great weekend of soccer games! The JV won both of theirs so that made him happy! He has one more soccer game at home this coming week and then the week will end with his last bike race! Wow! What we will do with our time?

  • Stamp the greeting from Good Greeting using Early Espresso ink onto a strip of Old Olive and sponge the edges with Crumb Cake ink then adhere to panel
  • Adhere panel to card base using dimensionals
  • Stamp the pumpkins onto Whisper White using Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive inks then cut out using the Fun Fall framelits
  • Adhere the taller one to the card and then adhere the smaller one using dimensionals
  • Thread a piece of linen thread through a gold basic metal button and tie a bow then adhere to card
