Preview Week Day 7: Crafty Pine Bough

Hello everyone! I can't believe that my fall break is over! Monday it's back to work. It was too bad that I was sick for the first part of my break. Doesn't seem fair. I didn't accomplish near what I wanted. I tried to go shopping yesterday as I need some fall clothes and shoes - mainly pants and shoes. I ended up getting shirts and no pants or shoes. Ugh! I hope it stays warm for a little longer until I am able to go shopping! I just don't know what the styles are so I need to do a little research and then come up with a plan. Today's plan is stamping! Yikes! I have club coming up on Monday and I need to get that all ready! No free time for me until that is accomplished!!

Today is the last day of Preview Week at Create with Connie and Mary! Tomorrow the winners of the blog candy will be announced and tomorrow is also the first day of the Holiday Edition! So don't miss out on the early bird pricing! I am finishing Preview Week with a super simple Christmas card! I think this one might be my Christmas card (with a few tweaks) this year!

  • Card base is Crumb Cake
  • Make a banner from a piece of Crumb Cake card stock by flagging the end
  • Stamp the pine bough image from Ornamental Pine with Early Espresso and Garden Green inks onto the banner piece
  • Stamp the greeting above that using Early Espresso ink
  • Sponge the banner piece with Whisper White craft ink and a sponge
  • Adhere a piece of Trim the Tree designer paper across the top of the banner piece
  • Wrap some linen thread around the banner and tie a bow then adhere banner to card with dimensionals
That's it! Super simple and very mailable! Don't forget to visit the Create with Connie and Mary site! Connie has an adorable project to share with you! You can download the FREE tutorial and find out how to win blog candy! While you're there, sign up for the upcoming Holiday Edition! Early bird pricing ends today! CCMC Holiday Card "Create"tions Blog Hop Week 3

Good morning everyone! It's a Create with Connie and Mary blog hop! You probably have just seen a beautiful project from Debbie! And when you are done here you will click on the icon at the bottom of this post to take you to the next blog. Such fun!

We have come to the end of week 3 and the end of our wonderful time with the Create with Connie and Mary Cards "Create"tions. We had so much fun and I hope that you enjoyed seeing all the great projects! This past week I used the Ornamental Pine stamp set to make my cards so I am using it for my project today! The design team is featuring the Petite Cafe Gift Bags. Here's what I did!

I kept it pretty simple. I like the kraft color of the bag and using that color for Christmas is always a favorite of mine! I wanted to stamp the pine bough several times on the bag but the folds of the bag didn't look very pretty so I started over! I decided that I would put the greeting on the bottom part along with some Trim the Tree designer paper. I just now realized that it is very hard to see, but I used the dotted ribbon scallop punch to punch a strip of Early Espresso to put under the greeting and then popped that up onto the lower panel. The dsp is backed with some Cherry Cobbler. I stamped the pine bough image from Ornamental Pine onto the bag with Tuxedo Black Momento ink and then colored the pine needles with the Old Olive Blendabilities. I sponged the edges of the bag with Whisper White craft ink. I wrapped some Early Espresso baker's twine around the bag several times and tied a bow. The ornament is stamped onto Whisper White using Cherry Cobbler ink and cut out. I threaded a piece of Early Espresso baker's twine through the ornament and tied it to the bag. It is also adhered with a dimensional. Then I added a rhinestone to the center.

Time to send you on to Connie's blog! I know she will inspire you with an awesome project! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

CCMC 320

Good morning, Friends! It's time for another challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we are being challenged with some very beautiful colors!

Lost Lagoon, Pear Pizzazz and Smoky Slate are the same colors that can be found in the All Is Calm suite in the Holiday mini catalog. And while I do have that line, I decided to keep it all very simple! Take a look!

This set is just so easy to use and makes quick Christmas cards! This card would even be great for mailing as it has very simple embellishments!

  • Card base is Pear Pizzazz
  • Stamp the pine bough image from Ornamental Pine onto the card base using Pear Pizzazz
  • Flag the end of a strip of Whisper White and stamp the greeting using Smoky Slate ink then adhere to card
  • Stamp the ornament onto Whisper White using Lost Lagoon ink and cut out
  • Punch a hole at the top and thread a piece of silver ribbon through and tie a knot then adhere to card with dimensionals (use a glue dot to adhere the knot to the card)
  • Add a rhinestone to the ornament
Super simple! Be sure to see what the other designers did with these fabulous colors at the Create with Connie and Mary site! And while you are there, why not sign up for the Holiday Cards "Create"tions edition! Lots of great holiday inspiration is being shared! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
