Good morning everyone! I'm here with the newest challenge from the ladies at Create with Connie and Mary! This week they are challenging us with a sketch. Take a look!
An interesting sketch, wouldn't you say? I was a little stumped at first and then I just went with 'it' and came up with this...
I did take some liberties with the sketch but I like the way it all came together! The central part of my card is the sketch. I just took that panel and adhered it to an A2 card sized card base. I took a square piece of Whisper White and adhered two strips of Elegant Eggplant and Baja Breeze that have their ends flagged. I ran this through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan embossing folder. Then I added a strip of Elegant Eggplant that was punched with the scallop trim border punch and tied a piece of Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon around this. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. I stamped the tea cup from Tea Shoppe in Summer Starfruit and cut it out.I popped this up onto the card and added three pearls to the flowers on the tea cup. Then I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. This is tucked behind the tea cup.
Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see what the other designers came up with. I hope that you will find some time to create a project using this sketch. Be sure to upload it to the site so that we can all take a look! I always love to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

ReplyDeleteI just love the gorgeous texture and the bit of scallop trim peeking out! And the teacup is a great image for the focal point.
