Good morning, Friends! It's time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge! This week we are being challenged with color!
So Saffron, Sahara Sand, and Soft Suede! Beautiful colors! And colors I never would have put together before now! I did have a hard time trying to figure out how I wanted to put them together. I pulled out my Beautiful Butterflies die and this is what came about!
I am quite pleased with how easily this came together once I decided on the butterflies! I haven't used this die in quite a while. I stamped the sentiment from Thoughts & Prayers in Soft Suede onto a piece of Sahara Sand and then sponged the edges in Soft Suede. This is adhered to a piece of So Saffron and then popped up onto a card base of Soft Suede. I cut two butterflies from the Tea for Two designer paper. I sponged the edges Soft Suede ink and adhered them together. To the back of the butterflies I adhered a folded piece of Victoria crochet trim and then popped up the butterflies onto the card. I tied some linen thread through a Neutrals designer button and adhered it to the butterfly.
I hope that you will visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see even more inspiration! And I hope to see your creation using these fabulous colors! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super day!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Deb. Don't you just love it when it all comes together?!
ReplyDeleteWow! I tried this one. I haven't used the butterfly die in ages either. I used the cajun craze instead of so saffron and I loved it. The simplicity of the design makes it perfect for so many occasions. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteVery, very pretty. Butterfly, button, lace - what could be nicer?
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great card to get my creative juices flowing.
ReplyDeleteLove the lace and button accents on the butterfly! That die has gone unused at my house, too...need to pull it out again! Great job with the color challenge this week!
ReplyDeleteThe sponging on your card is my favorite part and the butterfly is stunning!
ReplyDeleteWOW! This card is absolutely beautiful! Great use of the little embellishments!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! I love how you did the butterfly!
