Good morning, Friends! I apologize for not posting more. I hope that changes soon! Besides having very limited time, I also seem to lack the creative mind. But I have my stamp club coming up soon and I will need to get my projects for that done this weekend. Here's to hoping I get a lot done!! But today is the Create with Connie and Mary challenge! This week we are being challenged to make a gift card holder!
Hmmm... This one was difficult for me just because I didn't want to do something that has been done a lot before. And, as I said before, my creative side is just not cooperating. So I went searching on Pinterest. I found a super simple little tag that had a pocket. Perfect! I turned it into a gift card holder!
I cut a piece of Smoky Slate at 2 3/4" x 6 1/2". The top of the tag is cut using the Labels framelits. The bottom is scored at 2" and folded up then adhered with sticky strip. I added a piece of All is Calm designer paper to the front of the pocket. The tree from Festival of Trees is stamped onto Whisper White using Pear Pizzazz ink and the circles are stamped with Lost Lagoon ink then the tree is punched out with the Tree punch. I adhered the tree to the tag with dimensionals. I stamped the pot onto Whisper White using Smoky Slate ink and cut out then adhered to the tree. I stamped the greeting onto a strip of Whisper White using Lost Lagoon ink and flagged the end then I adhered it to the tree. I tied a piece of white baker's twine through a Nordic designer button and adhered it to the tag. I punched a hole at the top of the tag and tied a piece of Lost Lagoon taffeta ribbon through the hole.
There you have it! Be sure to see all the other wonderful ideas for gift tags at the Create with Connie and Mary site! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
