Heartfelt Thank You

Good morning! My, my!! There is sure a wild buzz going around about the new catalog that will be coming out! I am so excited! I can't wait to see what they are all talking about! I mean, they are describing what they see but it is different when you finally get to see it all in real life! I will keep you all posted as well! We can't order from it until the 19th anyway but that date is coming up fast!

This is a card that I did at my mom's over the Christmas holiday. I copied a layout from my friend Becky. Super easy and so many possibilities! I hope that you are inspired as well! Take care and have a great day!!

Is Love In The Air?

Well, maybe not just yet. But it will be here soon! So I will be doing a few Valentine cards to hopefully get us all in the mood!

This is a card that I did while at my mom's over Christmas break. I went through the catalog and took my inspiration from a few of my favorite layouts. It might could use a little something? I am not sure. I do like the way it turned out but I can't help but think that I could add something to it. And I am not sure about the brad in the middle of the heart. Like I said, I thought it could use something but I am not sure that the brad was it. Anyway, I felt it best to quit while I was ahead. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Silouhettes

Good Sunday morning! I think that the sun may actually shine today! Yesterday a front came and blew our inversion out of the valley and it is clear again! Will it be warm enough to melt our snow? Don't know yet. Still got tons of it! My husband had to go out and blade our driveway because we kept getting stuck! It is still plenty cold!!

Today's card is one that I did while at my mom's house over vacation. She had copied a card from the catalog and I thought it was so cute! Now why hadn't I seen that card before? LOL!! So, I took inspiration from her and came up with this! It is very simple! The photo makes it look like I used Kraft cardstock. I actually used So Saffron but now I think that the Kraft would have been just as pretty! I also used Kiwi Kiss but I wanted to use Old Olive. So, again, lots of possibilities! I hope that you all have a wonderful week! I will see you tomorrow!

Friend To Friend

Good morning! Well, my vacation is officially over. Now it's just the weekend. Bummer. But I guess it had to end sometime. It will be good to see all my co-workers! And my students will be excited to tell all about their vacation. Anyway, playtime is over.

Today's card layout is one that I copied from Becky. She had done this layout at her Christmas party card class. So super easy and quick! This layout really is versatile and has many possibilities! Now that I look at it, I think that it would have been really cute to put one of those mini library clips with a piece of Riding Hood Red ribbon on the vanilla panel with the words. Yep! So many possibilities!! I hope that you are inspired! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! Yes, I am officially back! Back from vacation and back from - well - who knows where?! I hope that you all hadn't given up on me. Even if I did find time to stamp I wasn't finding time to post anything. It feels good to get back into it. I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season! I know that I sure did and I am just not ready for it to end. Monday is a work day at school and that's exactly what I will be doing - working!

Today's card is one that I copied from my friend, Becky. She had a fabulous Christmas card class party at her house last month and we made some really cute cards! I took them to my mom's house over vacation and this is what I came up with while there! I did a secret elf exchange with some other demonstrators and my elf gave me the new Felt Fusion Too flowers. LOVE them! I just had to use them! Anyway, this is my version of Becky's card. Have a great day and enjoy the weekend. I hope it's warmer where you are!

blog 12-25

Merry Christmas everyone! Have a wonderful day with the ones you love! I know I am!!
This is a sign that I made for some close friends and family. I got some wood letters, a chalkboard and then covered them in white paint. I covered the chalkboard part and the letters with paper from the Holiday Treasures designer pack. I printed the words on my computer and add a few embellishments. The hardest part was trying to figure out how to decorate without over doing it! Thanks for stopping by!!

Good evening! I am making a quick post as I almost forgot about it and I need to get to a staff Christmas party!

New Die!

Good afternoon! It's lunch time and I have all my kiddos in my room with me. Darn!!! After lunch duty I cherish a little quiet time with my own lunch and maybe some grading and catching up. But not today. It's just too cold to take the kids out. Not too cold for the kids but for the poor teachers who have to look after them! Oh well. I just have to make the best of it but I will be grumpy for a little while...

Today's card is a take-off from a card I saw in the recent Cards Magazine. Very simple!! This card uses my new flower layers die. I just had to try it out!! The die makes four different sized flowers and you can layer them together. Like I said, very simple! Thanks for stopping by!

So Simple!

Good Sunday morning to you! Well, if today was Christmas and you we were 'dreaming of a white Christmas' then your dream would have come true!! Yep! There is snow on the ground!! Not a lot, mind you, but there is snow. I sure hope the mountains got pounded. Powderhorn ski area was supposed to open today and I know that they were counting on this storm really helping them out.

Today's card was copied out of the recent Cards Magazine. I used different paper, colors and stamp but the layout is pretty much the same. Very simple! Not my favorite but it was fun to do. I got the color combo from the In Color color chart. Anyway, I hope that you will be inspired. Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine

Good Saturday morning! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! I think that it is finally going to start looking like Christmas around here! We haven't had any snow to speak of but it looks like it will be moving into this area this week. I have to say, that I do like the snow around Christmas. And, of course, I love it for the skiing. No, I don't ski anymore but I love to watch my son do it. Anyway, the weather is changing and I am going to enjoy it as I go through the last week of school before Christmas break!!! Can you say - When are you going to do all your shopping? YIKES!!! Guess I better get going on that. But I really hate the crowds. My husband has done a lot of it but he needs something, too! And I can't afford most things that he wants. So, I guess I will be fighting crowds to make sure he has something to open. Think of me, please!!

On to the card... I got this layout from the recent Cards Magazine. I believe that Dawn McVey did it. I do love her stuff!! Hers had different colors and a different image but I thought the overall layout was cute! So, I changed it up a bit and here's what mine looks like! Really simple and self explanatory. I got to do some stamping with my friend Becky last night. Tomorrow I will be stamping with Sherry, Emily and Becky! We are doing our annual Christmas party! Can't wait!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Green Tea

Good afternoon! It's lunch time here! So, I will hurry and post so that I can eat my lunch, too!! Tomorrow is Friday and I am SOOOO looking forward to the weekend! I hope that your day is going the way you want.

Today's card is a layout that I have used before. But I just love the way it turns out! And it is a super easy way to use up those little scraps of designer paper that we all seem to have left. I cut five pieces of designer paper 1 1/8" square. Then I cut a piece of Whisper White 5 1/2" x 1 3/4". Then I took the strip and glued the squares onto it starting in the middle. Your two end pieces will have a tiny bit hanging off the edge but I just snipped that off. No one can tell that anyway. Of course you will want to scallop your white strip before gluing anything down. It's much easier that way. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Heart!

Good evening everyone! I am so excited that we are on the downhill side of this week! Only one more to go and I will be on Christmas vacation!!!! It is going to be really crazy but that helps the time pass more quickly.

Today's card is one that I did for my stamp club. I really liked the way it turned out and it is so super simple!! I think my club ladies really liked it too. The card is really self explanatory and I have used this layout before. And I probably will again. I hope you don't get too sick of it! I am off to Becky's annual Christmas card class party!! I just love her party!! It is so much fun and she has great projects and awesome food! Yes, I will be pigging out once again. Thanks for stopping by!!

Winter Frost

Good afternoon! I hope that your Tuesday is going great. Mine is flying by! I am very pleased that we are still able to accomplish what we do in class. It is harder to keep them focused but we are getting through!

This card layout is one I have done before but I just love it! It is so versatile! I didn't stamp a greeting on this card because I let the paper say it all. I had my stamp club last night with a super bunch of ladies!! And Jeannie makes the BEST peanut butter fudge!! I ate wayyyy too much! But I digress. This is one of the cards we made at stamp club. No stamping at all! The snowflake was cut with my big shot. I really like the way it turned out. I hope that you are inspired! Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs & Kisses

Good afternoon! Well, this day sure did fly by! I started this quite a while ago and now it is the end of the day! I hope that your Monday was great! It's pretty gloomy outside. Hope that means there is snow in the mountains as we really need it!

Today's card layout is one that I sketched from somewhere. I really liked it and thought it had so many wonderful possibilities. In fact, I think that I have used it before. Hope you don't get sick of it. This set is the new Love You Much bundle that will be available December 23. I hope that I am enticing you!! The designer paper is also part of the bundle. I think that I am getting tired of my stamps. I will be excited to see the new catalog and order some new ones!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Breezy Rose

Hello my faithful blog followers! I am so sorry it has been so long since my last post. We got back from Disneyland late Saturday night (a week ago) safe and sound. Our son had gotten a bad case of allergies while in California and was not feeling well all the way home but he made it. We got home, threw our stuff on the kitchen floor and said good night! We were exhausted!! Two hours later I woke up and started vomiting (among other things) and ended up being sick the entire rest of the weekend! My husband also got sick later on Sunday. It was awful!! I took the day off on Monday and still didn't feel very well on Tuesday but went back to school anyway. Nick is doing much better since being home. People are telling me that his allergies could have been brought on by the poor air quality. Anyway, we are all better but NONE of the things on my "to-do" list got done that I had planned for last Sunday. I did no laundry, we didn't get our Christmas tree put up, I got NO papers graded and fell WAYYY behind (I think that I am finally caught up now), and just a few days ago, we finally put the suitcase away! So, you can see that I haven't had much time for stamping. I did go to my friend Becky's house on Friday and did a little stamping there. It has been hard to re-start my stampin mojo. I hope that it comes back soon!! Tomorrow night I have my stamp club with a super bunch of ladies! I can't wait to see them all again! I will show you all those projects this week as well.

Today's card comes from a layout I found on the Clean and Simple website. I love their layouts for that really "clean" look. And they are really simple but very elegant. The sketch showed an oval for the greeting but an oval just didn't look right on this card so I scrapped that part and made up my own. Actually, I stamped the 'friend' onto the card and it came out really crooked! YIKES! I hate it when that happens! So, I stamped it again on a scrap piece then trimmed it up to glue over my mistake. I don't think it looks too bad. Thanks for stopping by and not giving up on me. It's a crazy time of year and I hope to keep up. So, keep checking back and have a great day!!
