Good Morning Bloggers! I hope that your weekend is going great! Mine has been very busy but that is the time of year! Only FOUR more weeks and then you all know what I will be doing! I am so excited about it!! But tomorrow it will be back to school. So, I had better stay focused (plus I have a HUGE pile of papers to grade).

Today's card is another that I did with my stamper's club this month. I got this layout idea from a sketch . I don't know that I am completely satisfied with it but it works. And it is very simple! I stamped the flowers with StazOn ink and then used Certainly Celery (the Old Olive was just a little too dark for me) to draw the stems. Then I used my white gel pen to color in the flowers. The flowers were stamped on Sahara Sand. I also sponged Sahara Sand ink around the edges. Then I took the words from the set and used my black marker to color just the words "thank you" and stamped that in the lower right hand corner. Of course the flower panel is popped up over the olive ribbon. Have a great week!!

Groovy Blossoms

Hello Everyone! I hope that you aren't too surprised to hear from me in the middle of the week. I had a few extra minutes and since I feel like I have cheated you the last few weeks, I thought that I would post another card from my stamp club two weeks ago.

This card was a favorite among the girls. I really like the color combo and layout as well. The card is really not that difficult but takes a little extra time. I started with a River Rock base. Then I cut a piece of Blush Blossom a little shorter and scalloped the end with my corner rounder. The I sponged that piece with Groovy Guava. I used a piece of Ginger Blossom paper to peek through between the layers. I also used another piece of the Ginger Blossom paper to punch out a scallop. With my Think Happy Thoughts stamp set I stamped the flower on Whisper White in Groovy Guava and the dots in River Rock onto Blush Blossom. Then I took my piercer and pierced holes in the holes I just stamped. I used two different circle punches to punch them both out. The scallop piece is popped up over the ribbon. And don't forget the brad in the middle of the flower!! I hope to post again this weekend. Enjoy!

Big Birthday Candle

Happy Sunday everyone! I am so sorry it has been awhile since my last post. But we have started the spring sports season and it is taking us everywhere! And some places we had not expected to be. We are really excited about Nick's abilities to play sports and we are so thankful that we only have ONE child! I don't know how some people do it with three or more!! Yesterday we had a baseball game and two soccer games! The weather was just beautiful (first time) and I got really burned!! The games were so much fun to watch. I will try to post some pictures sometime (of course, on scrapbook pages!).

Today's card is one that I did with my stamp club that meets every other month. I did this card from a sketch that I got from Splitcoast Stampers. I really liked the sketch and thought that this stamp set would really go well with it. I just got this set and was anxious to use it! Something that is hard to see from the photo is that I stamped the outline of the candle and the dots onto a scrap piece of Summer Picnic paper and then cut it out. I also stamped the outline of the flame and cut it out. The candle panel is popped up over the ribbon. I also sponged bashful blue around the blue piece. It's a fun and cheery card! Enjoy!

More Manly

Hello All! I hope your weekend is going as you would like. Mine has been wonderful! Although, today is laundry day - UGH! I actually don't mind laundry because I can still multi-task!

Well, I didn't get around to making any cards yesterday so, this morning, I got busy! I love to search other blogs for ideas and this is one that I have been "eyeing" for some time. She, of course, used different colors and paper but I took the same basic idea. I am supposed to make some "manly" cards for a swap next month and I thought that this layout would be perfect! Men usually don't like a lot of "frills" and this is plain and simple. But even if you changed up the designer paper and colors and put a flower instead of a star you could make this into a nice "girly" card, too! This card is very simple and pretty self explanatory! The sentiment is glued to the star and then both are popped up! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Paisley Birthday

Happy Day everyone! I just can hardly believe that April is only a few more days away! What happened to March? It has all just gone by so quickly! It won't be long before school's out and I can be at home stamping ALL day long!! I am also going to try and offer some classes this summer so I am getting really excited about that, too! I just realized that this is my last card that I have made to show you so I had better get busy making more! Oh, bummer!!

This is a card that I saw in the Cards Magazine. I, of course, didn't have the exact same paper or stamps that they used. So, I came up with my own version! I don't know if I am completely happy with it but it'll do. It's not bad, it's just not my favorite. The card base is Whisper White and then I layered a piece of Pumpkin Pie prints designer paper. There is a strip of Chocolate Chip that I scalloped with my corner rounder. The focal point comes from the Wanted set. I colored with markers on the stamp. This part might be very hard to see in the picture. I used Pumpkin Pie for most of the image but there is some Bashful Blue in there as well. That's where the Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon comes into play. The happy birthday stamp is from the It's Your Birthday set and it's stamped in Chocolate Chip. And, you know me by now! Fall Flowers on Easter?

Happy Easter everyone! What a truly blessed day today is!May we be every mindful of what this day truly means! Eternal life!!

I know that this card is as far from Easter as you can get but it is one of my very favoritest!! Yes, I know that I said that yesterday and that is still true but I do love this one as well. And guess what! It is also copied from the Cards Magazine!! This one is actually copied almost exactly! I did add the build-a-brad in the middle and changed the ribbon and left out the jumbo eyelet but everything else is the same! I love it when I can do that! Then I don't have to think as much!!

The only stamping on here is the sentiment. Everything else uses punches. I cut the tag and then used my tag corner punch to punch the two top corners to form a tag. I used my scallop punch, my 1 3/8" circle punch and my flower punch to form the focal point of this card. The designer paper is Fall Flowers and the center of the build-a-brad is from the Fall Flowers designer paper as well. I did sponge Soft Sky ink around my Soft Sky flower to define it a little bit more. The tag and the scallop are both popped up.

Blooms!

Good Morning everyone! I am so excited to see the sun and to know that it will be a sun filled day with warmer temperatures! Yea!!! It also sounds like tomorrow (Easter Sunday) will be just as beautiful! I hope that your Easter weekend will be as blessed!

Today's card is probably one of my most favoritest cards that I have made in awhile! I just love this card and it makes me happy when I look at it! AND... it is so super simple!! The only stamping on this card is the sentiment. I copied this card from the Cards Magazine. The card in the magazine used a discontinued set (and one that I don't have) so I just tweaked it up a bit! I used a Pumpkin Pie base and designer prints paper (the polka dots). The flower is from our new die-cut blooms from the Occasions mini catalog! The package comes with 12 x 12 sheets of flowers that are already cut and all you have to do is punch them out! The four colors are Real Red, Bashful Blue, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie. They also come in a wide variety of sizes. I have even read about people using the punched out part (the negative part) to trace the flower onto other colors to cut out. Then you would have blooms in any color you wanted! The center of this flower uses a build-a-brad. I punched out a "dot" from the designer paper and glued it to the build-a-brad. I also used the new Real Red striped ribbon. The olive panel and the flower are each popped up with dimensionals. I hope you like this card as much as I do! Have a great day!

Friendship Rub-ons

Good Friday everyone! And Happy Spring! It's finally starting to feel a little like spring out here! Well, I went back to school and now we have today off. However, starting next week it will be school every week for five days no matter what for the next 9 weeks. I think that I can handle that?

Anyway, like I said in a post before, I don't do holiday cards except for Christmas. So, I don't have any Easter cards to show you this weekend but I thought this looked the closest to Easter. And If you were able to get it on the deals from Stampin' Up! during Sale-A-Bration, then you might have gotten the Friendship Blooms rub-ons. I got several and I am excited to use them! So, I decided to try them on a card. I don't know if I am completely happy with it but here it is anyway! I wanted to try a really cute layout that I got from Becky's card class. I just added a few brads to the centers of the flowers from the rub-ons. The rub-ons are white (the flowers) and brown (the saying). The package had one sheet of green, brown, black, and white. The packages of rub-ons that we sell in the catalog are just one sheet of black and white. They are so easy to use and can be rubbed on just about anything! Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! No, I don't have a "lucky" card to show you. I am not known for doing St. Patrick's Day cards. About the only holidays that I make cards for are Christmas and maybe Valentine's. I have also made a few for Halloween and Thanksgiving. But Christmas is really the only holiday that I will make specific cards for. So, I am sorry for that. But I hope you like this one anyway!

This is a layout that I copied from card class (thanks, Becky). Very simple and very versatile! The designer paper is layered on Whisper White and that panel is popped up. The greeting is stamped on Whisper White with Purely Pomegranate and glued flat to the designer paper. The flowers are stamped with Purely Pomegranate and then punched out and layered and then popped up (with a brad in the middle). Enjoy!

Good Morning All! I hope that you all have had a great weekend! I know that my spring break has been very relaxing and filled with fun! While I still have tomorrow off, I will be going back to the classroom to get things ready for Tuesday. It's really hard to believe that the school year is quickly coming to a close! Just more time to stamp!

Today's card was inspired by someone out there in the blogging world. I was cruising blogs for something that I could do with my Tagger's Dozen set. I haven't used that set hardly at all! I found this card layout. I tweaked the colors and added a few things but it is basically the same. This layout could also be used for any small stamps that seem hard to use for cards. I really don't think that I could live without the scallop punch. It just makes a focal point so easy to come up with! For the ribbon, I just took a piece of Wild Wasabi double stitched ribbon and twisted it around and glue dotted it (heavily) to the back of the scallop piece. That piece is also popped up as it gets kind of bulky to glue flat. And I believe that you know how to make the scalloped edge? If not, or if you forgot just send me an e-mail. Exotic Thinking

Good Day All! The weather is looking a little more promising than before. I was able to take a few more pictures of some cards this morning. I did have some time to play this week and came up with a few more ideas to share! I am really excited about them! I hope you like them, too.

Today I am sharing a card that I made a few weeks ago. Again, it was a layout that I had seen while cruising the blogging world. I tweaked it in my own special way and here is what mine looks like. This card can be tedious as the flower has three parts that are all cut out. The overall look is great but there is a lot of cutting! The stamp is from Stitched Exotics. There are three flowers in the set (each is a different color on this card). I stamped them, then cut them out, then layered them together and put a brad in the middle. I was also trying to find a reason to use up my Bali Breeze designer paper. I just love the colors but it has been really hard for me to find ways to use it up. Enjoy your weekend!

Embrace Birthday

Good Morning! Well, my spring break is all too quickly coming to a close! My son is just heartbroken. But that just means that summer is coming soon as well! I am also a little grumpy that my spring break wasn't very "springy" at all!! Today is so cloudy and gray and I think that snow is falling again. UGH!! My spring clothes are crying out to me! I do hope it is nice for Easter!

Today's card is one that I had found while cruising the blogging world. The colors are the same and and the background paper is the same. But I thought that the flowers might be fun punched out. I kind of like it this way! This card will go to a friend of mine at school whose birthday is next week. I hope that she likes it! Nothing real special on this card. I did pop up the Ruby Red panel and the Groovy Guava scallop. Otherwise it is how it looks. I did use Groovy Guava textured cardstock for my base. I haven't done that very much but it sure does change the overall look of the card. I may have to do that more often! Have a great weekend!

Good Morning! As promised, here is the second card I made using this layout. Can you see the differences? Different colors, different sized circles. Also, on this one, I wheeled a background on the blush piece with the Swirls jumbo wheel. The 'So kind' stamp was stamped onto the Soft Sky designer prints paper.

Three In A Row #1

Hello All! I am sorry that I didn't post yesterday. My friend Emily and I took our kids skiing yesterday and then when I got back I had a card class with Becky and then when I finally got back home I was so exhausted that I just went to bed! So, here we are today!

This card is so super simple! In fact, tomorrow I will show you all another card with this same exact layout! I used a stamp set called Holiday Blitz. I got the set because I wanted to make a calendar and this set has tons of little stamps that are used for different holidays and are a perfect fit inside the little calendar boxes. Well, I haven't made any calendars and so I have not even used this set! Shame!! Anyway, I saw this layout and thought that this is the kind of card that is perfect for small stamps that can sometimes be hard to put on a card. So, if you all have some small stamps and don't know what to do with them, maybe this layout can help! I also like the way the wide grosgrain ribbon helps to fill up space. And I like this card because it is "springy"! Where o where is spring? Have a great day!

Hello Everyone! Surprised to hear from me? Well, it's spring break here and I thought I would make it a goal to try to post a card everyday this week! Tomorrow might be a little tricky but I will try!

Today's card is one I did for a swap that I participated in last month. This card uses a set called Just Celebrate and it can be found in the Occasions mini catalog which debuted this month! This set is truly an all year set! I used the flowers because I am hoping that it will bring spring to us soon! I also used the new Summer Picnic designer paper which is also in the mini catalog. The paper might be hard to see because it is the same color as the card base itself. The three flowers along the side are from the Three For You punch box from the main catalog. I've had that punch for a while and didn't know what to do with it. I thought it went well with the card! The ribbon is the new striped grosgrain from the main catalog. And, of course, you know how much I love to make scallops with my corner rounder! The whole red panel is popped up with dimensionals. Enjoy!
