Good morning everyone! It's time for the Thursday challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week's challenge is a color challenge! Take a look!

Tangerine Tango, Always Artichoke and Sahara Sand are the fabulous colors that we have to play with! These colors made me think of fall and here's what I decided to make!

Very simple fall card! Details:

  • Card base is Sahara Sand
  • On the card base stamp the splotches from Gorgeous Grunge in Sahara Sand
  • Flag the bottom of a piece of Always Artichoke and run through the Big Shot using the Woodgrain embossing folder then adhere to card
  • Stamp leaves from Wonderfall in Tangerine Tango and Always Artichoke onto Whisper White, cut out and adhere to card with dimensionals
  • Stamp greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Always Artichoke
  • Tie a bow with a piece of linen thread and adhere to leaves
  • Adhere a Tangerine Tango candy dot to bow center
I hope you enjoyed my fall card today! Be sure to see what the other designers did with these colors at the Create with Connie and Mary site! I hope you will play along with us this week! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Good morning, Friends! The Create with Connie and Mary Winter Collection has come to an end :( What super wonderful and awesome projects were shared by the designers! Since this is the last week, the challenge is for the designers only. So the designers are sharing their last creation with you all using this beautiful color challenge! Check it out!

Coastal Cabana, Pool Party, and Smoky Slate. So very pretty! Here is what I created!

I used a couple of carry-over stamp sets to create my card: Evergreen and Greetings of the Season. Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Smoky Slate
  • Layer of Coastal Cabana that was embossed with the Northern Flurry embossing folder
  • A piece of Smoky Slate 3/4" chevron ribbon is tied around the layer
  • Cut a circle of Whisper White using the 3 1/2" circle die
  • Stamp the tree from Evergreen in Pool Party three times - once full strength and twice having stamped off
  • Stamp greeting from Greetings of the Season in Smoky Slate
  • Adhere circle to Coastal Cabana layer using dimensionals and trim off end
  • Adhere layer to card with dimensionals
  • Add two rhinestones
I hope you like my creation! It's been a blast being a part of the Winter Collection! Find the other designers' creations by visiting the Create with Connie and Mary website! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! Once again I am lacking in my daily postings. I am still sewing away on Christmas gifts! My parents arrived yesterday to watch Nick play some basketball games this weekend! His birthday is on Tuesday (OMG - 14 years old) so there is a lot going on right now! But it's all good and I am happy to have at least my challenge cards posted for you all!!

Today's Thursday challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team is a sketch challenge! Take a look!

And my card...

Love all the possibilities with this sketch! I decided to make a Thanksgiving card. Seems like we overlook that holiday. What a shame! Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Sahara Sand
  • Layer of Sahara Sand was run through the Big Shot using the Woodgrain embossing folder
  • Adhere a strip of Sweater Weather to the right hand side of layer and then adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Stamp leaf image from Wonderfall in Tangerine Tango onto Whisper White and cut out then pop up onto card
  • Stamp greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Chocolate Chip onto a strip of Whisper White and flag the end then adhere to leaf
  • Tie a piece of linen thread through a Natural designer button and adhere to card
Pretty simple card but I love the pop of that orange against the neutral card stock! It really pops! Reminds me of the fall colors here in Colorado!! I hope you are inspired to play along with us this week! For more wonderful inspiration, be sure to check out the other creations at Create with Connie and Mary!

  • Use the 2 1/2" circle punch to punch a circle from Whisper White

And my card...

I am trying to make more fall cards than Christmas cards between now and Thanksgiving. Stampin' Up! is kind of short of the Thanksgiving stamps so I am using the heck out my Wonderfall stamp set to make fall cards. I am pretty sure that I will run out ideas pretty soon! Thank goodness for sketch challenges like this one! Here are the card details…

  • Card base is Soft Sky
  • On a layer of Naturals White card stock, stamp the splatters from Gorgeous Grunge in Soft Sky

  • Adhere a basics glimmer brad and then pop up onto card

Good morning, Friends! I know it's been a while since I've shared anything. I am trying to get ahead on some of my design team commitments because I need to get going on my Christmas gifts! Yikes! I read somewhere that there are only 8 weeks till Christmas! Since I am making a lot of my gifts, I need to get sewing! So that is what I have been up to. But today is the Thursday challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team. This week they are challenging us with color. Take a look at these beautiful colors!

Aren't they beautiful?! Love these and will be using these again! Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana, and Real Red. Here's my card.

So I decided to go with a non-traditional Christmas card. While red is a traditional Christmas color, the others - not so much. But I love how the Smoky Slate resembles silver! I recently got this beautiful new photopolymer stamp set called Endless Wishes. I LOVE this set!! I love snowflakes anyway but the words are awesome! Here are the card details:

  • Card base is Real Red cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and folded in half
  • Layer of Smoky Slate cut at 4 1/4" x 2 1/2"
  • Stamp the snowflakes from Endless Wishes in Smoky Slate onto the Smoky Slate layer in a random pattern
  • Strip of Coastal Cabana cut at 4 1/4" x 1" and adhere to back of Smoky Slate layer then adhere to card base
  • Use the Deco Label framelits to cut a label from Whisper White
  • Stamp words from Endless wishes using Real Red and Coastal Cabana then use dimensionals to adhere to card
  • Stamp snowflake from Endless Wishes in Coastal Cabana onto Whisper White and cut out then pop up onto card
  • Add a rhinestone to snowflake center
Be sure to check out the rest of the designers' work at the Create with Connie and Mary website! I hope you will be inspired to play along with us this week!

Have you signed up for the Create with Connie and Mary Winter Collection? You can still sign up and see ALL the wonderful projects and tutorials from the very beginning! It is into week 3! So many great ideas for the holidays!

Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

The colors are fun Christmas colors that coordinate perfectly with the Season of Style designer paper. I did something a little different for my card. It is super simple with not a lot of stamping!! Here are the details:

  • Card base is Whisper White cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and folded in half
  • Strip of Season of Style designer paper cut at 1 3/4" x 4 1/4" and then scalloped at the bottom using the scallop edge border punch then adhere to card
  • Strip of silver glimmer paper cut at 3" x 1/2" and adhere to card
  • Stamp greeting from Greetings of the Season in Cherry Cobbler
  • Use the Perfect Pennants die to cut the tree shape from Old Olive paper and then run through the Big Shot again with the Square Lattice embossing folder for more texture
  • Sponge edges of tree with Old Olive ink
  • Cut the trunk of the tree from Crumb Cake and sponge edges with Crumb Cake ink then adhere to back of tree and pop up onto card
  • Add a large rhinestone jewel to top of tree

Washi Bats

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! I woke up this morning to hear the sound of rain! And the wind is blowing, too. So glad that I now have a garage! I won't have to walk outside in this to my car to take Nick to school! Would have been a great day to sleep in but no such luck this time. I do get my hair cut and colored today - yea!! And Nick has a basketball game this afternoon. Looking forward to that!

Today's card was inspired as I was surfing through Pinterest. I think the other card used stamps for the background but I thought that washi tape would be really cute! Here are the details:

  • Card base is Very Vanilla
  • Layer of Very Vanilla
  • Adhere three strips of Witch's Brew washi tape to Very Vanilla layer and then pop up onto card base
  • Layer of Basic Grey
  • Sponge layer with Basic Grey ink
  • Stamp greeting from Halloween Hello in black StazOn onto layer
  • Tie a piece of Basic Black 1/8" taffeta around layer and pop up onto card
  • Stamp bat image from Halloween Hello onto Very Vanilla in black StazOn, cut out and pop up onto card
