Good morning, Friends! Well it felt really good to sleep in one more time before the chaos starts tomorrow! I start to freak out and get nervous and then I remember that I am not the one in charge! Haha!! I am just there to support and this first week will be about observing, getting to know the teachers and the kiddos and also getting to know how the curriculum works. Well I can do that! Pat and I went in yesterday to move some furniture around and I think I will go in today and try to put some things away. But other than that, I don't think I need to worry too much about what's there. It's ALL there - lol! When working with kids k-5 you've got it all!! It's just trying to figure out where to put it...

CASE-ing the Catty Challenge #3

Good morning, Friends! Well yesterday was quite the day! I was introduced to the teachers, I got my keys and started on my room. Yikes! My room looked like a storage closet! So I started sorting and figuring out what I needed. Not anywhere near done but I will be going in this weekend to move some furniture around. I also found out that my four hour position has turned into a seven hour position! Monday the kiddos come! Nick says he's excited so that's a good thing! Thankfully he has soccer practice at the high school and won't miss me not being home right away. It will be nice to have the same school schedule and have the summers off! Today Nick has bike racing practice. So we are up early!

Today's card was made for the challenge CASE-ing the Catalog. You are supposed to pick something from the Birthday section of the catalog (pages 42-59) to copy. My card come from page 59. I had been looking to copy this card anyway so this was perfect! Super, super easy!

Strawberry Bunch

Good morning, Friends! Well, last Friday I applied for a job with a local elementary school. That same day I got an email to select a time for my interview on Monday. I picked a time and went for the interview on Monday. On Wednesday I got a call that I had been selected for the position and need to fill out paperwork. So I spent the afternoon on Wednesday doing that. Today is my first day! Wooho! We just have meetings today but I am also going to see my room and get keys and meet the staff. School starts on Monday! Crazy! It's a part time position right now but I am more than thrilled! I am also really nervous - lol! But I have some great friends that are really encouraging me and so I feel ready! My son is even really excited for me. He asked me last night what I was going to wear. That cracked me up!! He is looking out for me!

Today's card started with a sketch in mind but ended up like this. And I like it! The colors just make me so happy! The colors came from the All Abloom designer paper.

But I think I can do that next week.

Today's card was inspired by another sunflower card I saw. I didn't have the exact same supplies but I thought I could do with what I have and I so super like this one!
