Good evening, Friends! It's been a weird day. Last night the wind blew like there was a hurricane! Oh my goodness!! I even backed away from the windows! So this morning, after we got up, we surveyed the damage and found one tree had its top missing and it was lying in our yard. Then, around the corner of the house, another tree had let loose of an even bigger limb and there was another broken limb but it hasn't fallen to the ground yet. So we will have to cut that one down somehow. Then my son woke up not feeling well and so my husband and I decided that he would take him on his rounds and let him sleep in the back of his truck. I kept hoping that he would start feeling better and my husband could bring him to school later in the day. And he did come to school later, which was good so that he wouldn't have so much homework. I know this wind and dust and such flying through the air has gotten to his allergies. And since his December episode, we are very alert to his asthma. I don't think he had an attack but I hope that is because we helped him prevent it. He was bummed that I wouldn't let him go to soccer or baseball practice but I thought it best as it is still windy and he is still acting "puny". Anyway, he is eating and will go to bed early so that tomorrow will be a good day for him.
Today's card is one I made earlier this week. I used a sketch from Taylored Expressions. I like her sketches and was glad that I could participate in this one. I wanted to try to pair the Old Olive with the Melon Mambo since they will both be a part of the Brights Collection next catalog year. It is different. But I like the way it turned out. I also got to use those cute itty bitty buttons! Thanks for stopping by and have a super evening. Tomorrow is FRIDAY!!
