Good morning everyone! It's time for another great Thursday challenge from the team at Create with Connie and Mary! This week they are challenging us with a sketch! Check it out!
I love this sketch! In fact I had so many ideas going through my head that I had a hard time trying to decide what to do! But I did finally settled on this:
I had gotten this stocking punch quite some time ago but hadn't used it so I thought it was time to get it out and get creative! I started with a card base of textured Marina Mist and added strips of various widths and lengths from the Frostwood Lodge designer paper. The greeting from Four the Holidays is stamped toward the bottom in Marina Mist. Then I took a piece of Cherry Cobbler and ran it through the Big Shot with the ovals die and glued that to a piece of Whisper White. This is popped up on the card. The main part of the stocking is punched from Marina Mist and the pieces are punched from the Frostwood Lodge designer paper. I glued the pieces down onto the stocking. Then I took the mini jingle bells and threaded three of them onto a piece of white baker's twine and adhered them to the stocking. Aren't they cute!! I also added a little loop with the white baker's twine. I popped the stocking up on the oval and added two rhinestones to the bottom right hand corner. Pretty simple!
Be sure to check out the rest of the super talented design team and their projects and the Create with Connie and Mary site! Then create your own project using the sketch provided. We always love to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
Card Recipe: Stamps- Four the Holidays; Paper- Marina Mist, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Frostwood Lodge designer paper; Ink- Marina Mist; Accessories- ovals die, stocking builder punch, white baker's twine, mini jingle bells, basic rhinestones, dimensionals
I thought it was a cool sketch, too! But I love what you settled on to do! I need to remember that oval under the stocking! Darling!
ReplyDeleteSo cute how you matched the stocking top with the background DSP. And I just love those mini jingles!
ReplyDeletePerfect colours for this card! This is simply wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone could make me want that darn stocking punch, it would be you! This is so darling--all the color and paper choices are perfect. My two favorite details are those bitty bells trimming the stocking and the twine loop--both just MAKE this stocking. Great job!
