Good morning, Friends! It's time to reveal another great challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we are being challenged with color! Take a look!
I love these colors! Three of the newest In Colors - Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals and Summer Starfruit!! Very fun!! I kept my card simple by using Mary Jo's sketch and came up with this!
I adhered a piece of Print Poetry designer paper to a piece of Raspberry Ripple. I love how the designer paper has two of the challenge colors right in it! This panel is then adhered to a piece of Very Vanilla and then popped up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. I then adhered a strip of Raspberry Ripple card stock with the end flagged and then a strip of Very Vanilla with the end flagged. On the Very Vanilla piece I stamped the greeting from Sweet Essentials in Raspberry Ripple. I used the Beautiful Wings embosslit to cut a butterfly from Summer Starfruit and popped this up onto the card. Then I took a Very Vanilla button and tied some linen thread through it. This is then adhered to the butterfly. Super simple!

SO cute, love the linen thread in the button on the butterfly...gives it so much dimension! Great take on the color challenge this week!

ReplyDeleteLove how the butterfly takes center stage on this card! I also love how the thread tied in a bow is the same shape as the butterfly wings...looks as if the thread is part of the butterfly. Very elegant.
