Good morning, Friends! It's time again for the Thursday challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we have a sketch challenge!
Love this one!! I think I love them all - lol! So clean. So simple. What's not to love? Check out my card!
I kept mine pretty clean as well. I have had this embossing folder for quite a while but haven't used it much. It's one of those products that I buy and then can't quite figure out how to use it. Well, it called out to me when I saw this sketch! So simple!! I embossed a piece of Naturals Ivory card stock with the Flower Garden embossing folder. To the back of this I adhered a strip of Tea for Two designer paper that was punched with the scallop edge border punch. I popped this up onto a card base of Naturals Ivory. Then I took a strip of Natural Ivory and stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso and flagged the end. I used the itty bitty shapes punch pack to punch a flower from Island Indigo. I snipped each petal and adhered it to a butterfly that was punched with the Elegant Butterfly punch from Calypso Coral. I added a mini brad and adhered it to the card.
Be sure to visit the Create with Connie and Mary website to see what the other designers did with this sketch. I hope you are inspired to play along with us this week! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Wow your card is simply stunning. I love the use of the TIEF and how you have used the same paper. The tone on tone with a pop of color is total brilliance. Smiles, Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteThis sketch really called your name, Deb and as always you came up with a beautiful card. I zoomed in so I could see the detail on your itty bitty flower. Sweet!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Debbie! I just got this embossing folder...I know! You could do this card in a million color combos and it would totally change the look! Love it!

ReplyDeleteI love the look of the embossed tone-on-tone - so natural looking! Really draws your eye to that butterfly!
ReplyDeleteI almost NEVER use that folder, but I really love how you did the neutral panel over the neutral background! Such a great card! Great job with the sketch this week!
