CCMC 124

Good morning everyone! It's Thursday and that means another super great challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!! I am in love with today's challenge! It is a color challenge. And while those can scare me at times, today's is right up my alley!! The colors for today's challenge are Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Very Vanilla! I love all these colors together! Yes, they are all very neutral but they sure do pack a punch!

The card layout itself is one that I have done before but I wanted to keep it all very simple and basic. Crumb Cake is my base card and I embossed it with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. Then I scalloped the bottom edge of my Basic Black piece and added a layer of designer paper from the Newsprint pack. I used Basic Black satin ribbon to tie a bow. Then I punched out a Very Vanilla piece using the decorative label punch. I stamped images from the Artistic Etchings set in Crumb Cake (stamped off once) and Basic Black. The tag is held onto the ribbon using a safety pin and button brad from the vintage trinkets. I sponged the tag, newsprint piece and the card. And there you have it!

So go to the Create with Connie and Mary site to see what the rest of the wonderful design team has come up with to inspire you. Then get to work and create your own wonderful masterpiece!! And be sure to upload it to the Create with Connie and Mary site so we can all see! Have a super day!!
