CCMC 170

Good morning, Friends! Another week is flying by! Here it is Thursday, once again, and time for another super great challenge from the ladies at Create with Connie and Mary! This week's challenge is a sketch is a sketch challenge. Take a look:

It is a square card - something that I don't do a lot of. But it is a challenge so I made a square card. My square card is 5 1/4". And I had Halloween on the brain so here is what I came up with:

Cute, huh!! This is the only Halloween set I have so it gets used a lot. I started with a card base of Basic Black. Then I cut down a smaller piece of Lucky Limeade and then a slightly smaller piece of Basic Black that went through the Big Shot with the Spider Web embossing folder. Before adhering it to the Lucky Limeade piece, I sponged some Whisper White craft ink to highlight the web. I love the look of that! The Lucky Limeade and the Basic Black are glued to the card base. Then I took a strip of Pumpkin Pie and a strip of Lucky Limeade that was punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch and glued those together. I wrapped a piece of Basic Black narrow taffeta ribbon around it and knotted it. This is glued to the card. Then I stamped the greeting from Wicked Cool on a scrap of Whisper White and punched it out with the 1 1/4" circle punch. I carefully tucked it under the Pumpkin Pie strip. Then I stamped the hat from the same set and cut it out. It is popped up on a Lucky Limeade 1 3/8" punched circle. Then I took my itty bitty shapes punch pack and punched a Pumpkin Pie flower and added it to the hat with a rhinestone. Done! I do like the way it turned out! Fun!

I do hope that you will check out the rest of the design team's submissions for this great sketch! You will find them at the Create with Connie and Mary website. I also hope that I will be seeing your creation posted on their website! I always love to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!
